Time to go on a skiing trip this year?

Do you love skiing and welcome the sight of snowy mountains with a jump for joy? We feel the same. There is something truly special about dressing up in a ski suit, snapping on the skis and sliding your way down the ski slope.

If we are lucky, the Scandinavian winter will be cold and white. If, on the other hand, the winter is wet and gray with rain and slush, you can always dream of skiing… - or travel! As a Strawberry Member you earn bonus points by doing the latter. Europe's winter mecca is waiting!

Bad Gastein

World class skiing in the Austrian Alps

With fantastic skiing, unbeatable views and world-class après-ski, Austria has long been the main choice for many skiers. If you want to start with a real classic, we recommend the resort Bad Gastein. You will find this charming little town in the heart of the Gastein Valley, where it is surrounded by snow-covered peaks. There is something for everyone here, whether you are a family that like going on a quiet ski holiday or a group of friends who want to round off a long day on the steepest slopes with a real après-ski.

Saalbach like Bad Gastein, offers top class après-skis and a landscape that will take most ski enthusiasts’ breath away. A new lift that connects two large ski systems allows you to take day-long excursions and ski until you drop.

With a combination of state-of-the-art facilities and traditional Tyrolean culture, Ischgl has both class and charm. This is the place to go if you want the best of both worlds! As STS Alpresor say themselves, you will meet both "cows on the back streets and jet setters in the bars". You can’t go wrong.

With long and varied cross-country trails, exciting off-piste tracks, and with an après-ski that never fails, St Anton is a destination that you simply must try if Austria is on the agenda.

Ski trips in the Italian and French Alps

The Alps are not only a part of Austria – both Italy and France offer fantastic ski destinations too! In addition, it is difficult to top off the combination of adventurous skiing experiences with stone-baked Italian pizza or French chèvre and air-dried ham.

In the Aosta Valley you will find Cervinia, the highest-lying ski resort in Italy. Here, on the famous mountains of Matterhorn and Monte Rosa, many slopes face south. This means you get sun, both when you’re skiing on the snow-covered slopes and afterwards as well, when you take your well-deserved sit-down at one of the outdoor cafés.

In the middle of the Dolomites and in one of the world's largest ski areas lies the Italian village of Val Gardena. This place is great for those who prefer cross-country skiing. In addition to majestic peaks and a large number of downhill slopes, there are over 12 miles of prepared cross-country trails.

French Val Thorens has been voted the best ski resort in Europe, with a ski season from November to April. 2 300 metres above sea level, this is Europe's highest, and thus most-sure-to-snow ski destination. Do you like partying long into the early hours? Or do you love French gourmet food? Maybe both? What luck, because in Val Thorens you don't have to choose between nightlife or culinary experiences – you can get both!
