Sweden's national arena, currently called the Friends Arena, will officially be known as the Strawberry Arena from 12 July 2024. Many people have a relationship with the arena. They may have cried tears of joy listening to their favourite singer or cheered on their football team to victory with friends! Strong emotions will continue to fill the arena – regardless of its name!
Red Carpet
During the annual winter conference for employees in January, Petter A. Stordalen announced that Strawberry would be taking new and exciting step on its journey! Swedbank's contract with the arena was coming to an end, and Strawberry was invited to become its new name partner. It gave us the chance to offer our members and guests an even wider range of experiences – it's an opportunity we just couldn't refuse!
A meeting place for big experiences
The arena is located in Solna, north of Stockholm, and over the years it has become a meeting place for people to get together to see their favourite football players score goals or hear Taylor Swift sing songs from her new album! Many people have had the chance to witness a legendary show – or perhaps even several!
The arena is a place where people can experience togetherness, belonging and joy. It's so much more than just an arena – and that is something that will certainly continue after the name change!
