Bye bye Clarion Collection – hello Home Hotel
It’s happening on 3 February! We’re saying goodbye to Clarion Collection® Hotel and welcoming Home Hotel! The hotel chain and its 50+ hotels across the Nordics are getting a new name and an even stronger identity. But don’t worry – it’s the same charming place inside (if not even more so!). Still including breakfast, fika & dinner
All that was unique about Clarion Collection Hotel will of course be retained at Home Hotel! Our hotels will still include breakfast, fika and dinner.
Breakfast
Freshly baked bread with cheese, ham and a little cress as the icing on top! A bowl of oatmeal with a variety of tasty toppings. And then an egg, a smoothie, some juice and a colourful plate of seasonal fruits…
...and of course, a hot cup of freshly brewed coffee to kickstart your day! How does that sound?
Fika
Every afternoon, our hotels invite you to enjoy a relaxing fika. Have a nice cup of coffee or tea with some homemade cakes and biscuits. This is the time to sit back and unwind with your nearest and dearest!
Dinner
The dinner concept feels like being invited to someone’s home for dinner – someone who also happens to be a great chef! Prepare for a simple yet delicious buffet featuring plenty of seasonal produce with a main course, four salads, soup and bread.
Does Home Hotel sound familiar?
Perhaps you've already heard of Home Hotel? This hotel chain has a history stretching all the way back to 1983 when Jan Torgé founded Home Hotel in Sweden. So, we're actually going back to our roots with this name!
Even then, the focus was on hotels in central locations with 60-100 rooms, often situated in historic buildings or charming new builds. Each hotel had a unique name that reflected the building's history or surroundings, and the interior design was distinctive and inviting. What really distinguished Home Hotel was, and continues to be, the personal level of service. In 1983, there were wonderful hosts making guests felt at home. Nowadays, that is taken care of by our fabulous employees and hotel managers, ensuring that you're always welcomed into a homely setting as soon as you enter through the front door! These hotels have always offered their guests breakfast, fika and dinner as part of an overnight stay, and this tradition lives on, having become a key part of the chain’s homely experience.
Petter Stordalen saw great potential in this innovative concept and went on to buy the hotel chain in 1997. It has since grown stronger and stronger in the Nordics as the Clarion Collection chain, now comprising 53 hotels in Sweden, Norway and Finland.
With its unique focus on creating a homely hotel setting, there are few names quite as suitable as Home Hotel. So, allow us to create hotel experiences where you’ll feel that we're your home until you're home again.
