Are you ready for a getaway in Oslo? Book your stay at one of our hotels in the middle of the city, and experience Oslo`s full potential! Get inspiration for clubs, festivals, bars and restaurants, and let the adventure begin.
**1. AMAZING MUSIC
**If you’re arriving the city during the summer there are many sweet and memorable events that are waiting for your arrival. If you're staying in Oslo around June 19-22, you should check out "Over Oslo". This is a festival that offers both great music and a beautiful view.
Are you planning on a visit later this summer? No worries! The music festival Øya starts the 11th of august and lasts until the 15th. This is the festival that attracts the hottest people in town, and artists like Beck, Florence + The Machine, Bad Religion and Team Me will be on stage this year. During the winter there are also great possibilities for music events. In March you can go to the Inferno Metal Festival, and throughout the whole year there are awesome concerts at Telenor Arena, Sentrum Scene, Rockefeller and Spektrum. Follow the links to keep yourself updated on the events coming up.
**2. NIGHTLIFE
**Is it a hot night on town you are aiming for? In that case, the options are many. The club Blå is located in a disused spinning mil by the Aker River, where there often are concerts in the early evening before the venue fills up with party people and DJ’s or live bands.
At Youngstorget, just a few steps from your front door, there are several hidden treasures. Café Mono is a cozy and somewhat mysterious place, with both bar, kitchen and live music. A little further up the street you will find Jaeger where you can dance into the small hours. And in the street Torggata you can visit Tilt to play shuffleboard while enjoying beer of all kinds.
Gudruns is the biggest hipster place in town, located in the main street Karl Johan. With a particularly anonymous front door it’s not the easiest place to find, but if you’re standing next to the erotic shop Kondomeriet you are on the right path. Follow the line into the kingdom of heaven.
If you happen to be in Oslo when August comes around, you can stop by the erotic festival Sexhibition. Here you can look at glamorous entertainment on stage and shop vibrating gifts.
**3. FOOD
**Can you feel your stomach rumble after a long day in the streets of Oslo? In summer you can get barbecue food and beer with a stunning view at Stratos, close to the hotel. If you want another menu, you can go to the food hall Mathallen that offers a big variety of high quality food and drinks. This is the place to go if a unique dining experience is on your agenda.
At the corner of Torggata and Hasmannsgate you’ll find Café Sara – a cozy pub with both drink and food service. If the dinner plans is moved a little late, this is the place to go. Serving is open until 02.45 every day.
If you want a snack close to the hotel you can walk over to Kulturhuset. The simple serving they offer us suitable if you are going out on the town afterwards. Or how about testing the city’s hippest burger? You´ll find it at Munchies.
