The Comfort Hotel Bergen is located on Strandgaten, one of the oldest pedestrianised streets in Bergen. The hotel has been completely renovated with brand new rooms, a wonderful Barception (bar + reception), breakfast area and a lounge area where guests can work, watch football with friends, enjoy one of our in-house events or have a quick beer. There's even a brand new CrossFit gym that is open 24/7.
Strandgaten is known as "Gågatan" (lit. the walking street) among locals. On Strandgaten you can find everything from hairdressers, piercing and tattoo studios, to sports shops, clothing shops, restaurants, cafés and wine bars. From the hotel you can also easily walk around the fjord to the UNESCO-listed Bryggen and the famous Fish Market.
Barception
When you fancy something to drink or a bite to eat, you can come to our Barception to enjoy our great range of refreshments including beer, coffee and mineral water or our homemade baguettes. The Barception is open 24/7.
Lounge
Our lounge is the perfect place to hang out with your family, friends and colleagues. You can even come and sit in our workspace with three special booths, ideal for meetings. One of the booths even has a TV with PC/Mac connection cables. Just come to the Barception if you need to borrow an HDMI cable! The Barception also serves both hot and cold beverages that you can enjoy in the lounge. If you're feeling active, you can also play a game of table tennis here.
Terrace with a view
We have a roof terrace on the top floor of the hotel offering lovely views of Bergen and the old wooden houses at Nordnes. This is a wonderful place to enjoy food and drinks from our restaurant in fine weather.
CrossFit gym
Following renovations in 2017, the Comfort Hotel Bergen opened a brand new CrossFit gym on the ground floor. So, work up a sweat on the treadmill or pump some iron with the free weights.
Explore Bergen
The hotel is an ideal starting point for your Bergen adventure! You can easily walk around the Vågen fjord to Fisketorget fish market and Bryggen. If you'd prefer to take the boat, turn left as you exit the hotel and then take the first street to the right to reach MF Beffen, which takes you across the fjord for 25 NOK. Not far from the hotel you'll also find the beautiful old wooden houses at Nordnes, and in the other direction, Torgallmenningen, Engen and Ole Bulls Plass. Of course, you'll also find bars, restaurants and outdoor terraces scattered around the city, and if you want to see the mountains from above, you can take Fløibanen or Ulriksbanen.
