Since Knut Hamsun once walked on the mountain above the hotel, it had to be preserved, so a tunnel was drilled through it instead. Now you can easily walk through a tunnel from the lobby to the various hotel rooms. In the tunnel, you’ll find information about the history of Fuhr AS, Norway's wine cellar that held barrels with up to 2 million litres of wine.
