The Clarion Collection Hotel Arcticus is centrally located by the old harbour in Harstad offering wonderful sea and mountain views. Art, music and culture play a key role at the hotel, which is situated in the same building as the Harstad Cultural House and the town library. Despite the tranquil setting, you'll be just a short walk away from the town centre.

Gym and activities at the hotel
We understand the importance of being able to stick to your exercise regime, even when you're travelling. At the Clarion Collection Hotel Arcticus, you can exercise free of charge in our gym, which is equipped with a treadmill, exercise bike, rowing machine and multi-gym.
There are also plenty of outdoor activities available in the local area, both during the summer and winter, with alpine skiing, a waterpark and lots more.
Rent a fishing rod
We have two fishing rods that guests are welcome to use free of charge. Just come to the reception for more information! Please remember to keep the hooks in a safe place, as you will be charged 20 NOK for each lost hook.

The hotel
The Clarion Collection Hotel Arcticus is locally referred to as the "Cultural House Hotel", since it is located in the same building as the Harstad Culture House. You'll also find works of art by some of Norway's most famous artists, such as Kari Christensen and Geir Stormoen. The hotel was constructed in 1992, as part of the development of the Harstad Cutural House, designed to bring culture and education to an area that was formely very industrial. Parts of the hotel building were formerly home to a sausage factory. In recent years, the area has been further developed with residential housing and businesses.
