The homely Home Hotel Arcticus is characterised by art, music, and culture and the Harstad Cultural House and the city library are both located in the same building. The hotel is located at the edge of the dock with wonderful views of the sea and the mountains, within easy reach of the city centre. You’ll also find a variety of outdoor activities here – you can even try some fishing from the dock just outside! Head off on a bike ride to explore the stunning mountainous surroundings, discover the Sollifjellet Alpine Centre for some skiing or hike towards Storlitinden, Kåven and Storhornet. For those who love water, make sure to visit the spectacular Grottebadet advenure pool built inside the mountain.

You’ll be greeted by the cosy atmosphere of the hotel just as soon as you step inside. You’re sure to feel right at home with breakfast, afternoon fika and dinner served every day as part of an overnight stay. The hotel was built in 1992 as part of Harstad Cultural House, in an area that was once dominated by industry. Parts of the hotel building once housed the Bothner sausage factory, and the hotel now counts the Army Music Corps, the Harstad Library and the university as its closest neighbours.
