If you fancy a walk, we recommend you to visit the Amanda statue, the pink town hall, and the wonderful library park. There are boats departing from right outside the hotel allowing you to head out to discover the beautiful islands of Røvær, Feøy, and Vibrandstøy. You’ll also find four golf courses in the area. Haugesund is situated in stunning natural surroundings, with excellent roads for cycling as far as the Hardangerfjord or Jostedalsbreen.

A homely & historic setting

The hotel is named after the Amanda Award, an annual award presented at the Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund. The hotel is the perfect place to stay during this annual film festival. Come on in and discover the hotel’s unique interior design with plenty of artefacts depicting cinematic history, including numerous photographs of famous actors on the walls. You’re sure to feel right at home here with breakfast, afternoon fika and dinner served here at the hotel. The building dates back to 1903 and served as a hotel until the 1950s, before being turned into offices. Since 1989, it has once again been home to a hotel.
