Honestly the staff here like Anna and Spenn are truly the best in customer service, the hotel has everything that you need the breakfast is great the room are excellent value for money

The location was conveniently close to major sites like Oslo's Central station and all the attractions in Karl Johan's Gate. We could see both the Oslo Opera House, Munch Museum and Oslofjord from our room's window. It is a short walk to many good restaurants, cafes and shops as well as some convenience stores. The area is pretty walkable but you just have to watch out for uneven pavement. Bus 30 has a stop right in front of the hotel and many of the museums worth making a trip out of the city centre for are on this route. The "barception" combines both a bar and a reception area. There is plenty of seating in the lobby which also functions as the breakfast area in the morning. The reception desk also has a small convenience store where you can purchase snacks, drinks and some sandwiches but it is a little bit pricier than the nearby convenience stores and supermarkets. Reception staff were welcoming and friendly during our stay and we visited a few times and received information and assistance quickly. We were initially worried because there was only one working elevator during our stay but that was only an issue a couple of times. We liked our room with the furnishings provided but would say it is very dim. We got a corner room which had a work space, a bench by the window, a chair and a good sized bed. We appreciated that there were several coat hooks on the walls to hang our winter clothing on when we visited. The hotel promotes sustainability throughout and while the lighting is perfect in the hallways and common areas we found our three small lights and two bedside lamps did not provide enough lighting in the evening which comes early in December. The TV was a big flat screen but unfortunately the smart features were disabled and the programming available is a little dry at this hotel. The amenities at the hotel are sufficient but I booked believing that there would be laundry facilities on site which there isn't. They recommended going to a sister property which was about a 10-15 minute walk away and online had one laundry machine and we were lucky not to have to wait long to get it done. Kettles and extra pillows are available upon request. Our favourite part of the bathroom was the heated floor which made the bathroom nice and cozy. The shower had swinging doors on both sides which helped open up the space when it wasn't in use but it didn't provide a perfect seal to keep the water in during a shower. Thankfully the heated floor helped evaporate the overflow quickly. The shower pressure was good but it was initially tricky to get the right temperature. We appreciated that there was plenty of counter space in the bathroom which made up for the lack of ventilation so use the toilet wisely. The breakfast was pretty good. There was a good variety of hot and cold items including smoked salmon, pancakes, chia seed cups, overnight oats, scrambled eggs, bacon, sausage, cheese and an area to make your own yoghurt bowl with toppings. They also had a tea/coffee area with plenty of additives like non-sugar sweeteners and creamed honey. We liked the fruit platters but found by the time we went they were largely picked over and they were the less desirable pieces leftover. We started each of our days off right with a decent breakfast each morning. Comfort Hotel has seemingly taken over Oslo in this area and there are quite a few locations. We picked this hotel because it was pretty central for our itinerary, was fairly priced when we booked, and it has decent sized rooms.

Great location! We stayed in a family room, which was spacious and had a minimalist, clean design—plus, no carpets! The hotel offers a convenient self-check-in system where you swipe your own room keys. The location is fantastic, just a few minutes' walk to the train station and the main street. The hotel also has an amazing breakfast buffet and a 24-hour kiosk offering smoothies, drinks, sandwiches, and snacks. The bar and reception are staffed 24/7, which is a nice touch. During our stay, we had an issue with the heating, which stopped working halfway through our visit. However, the staff was very responsive and, although they couldn't fix the problem, they provided us with portable heaters to ensure we were comfortable. Would definitely stay here again!

Staff were extremely helpful with directions to access public transportation, buy Oslo Ruter cards and Oslo Pass. The hotel is located near Central train station, helpful when flying to/ from Gardermoen. Hotel is in very safe neighborhood, with restaurants at all price levels within walking (10 minutes). Can walk one direction to opera and outdoor saunas; and other direction can walk or transit to Radhuset (city hall) and museums. Easy half hour bus ride to Fram museum. We spent 4 full days and 5 nights, we are senior citizens.

Great breakfast buffet. Good location near train station. Can sit at dining room window, enjoy coffee and watch the electric buses, bicyclists and walkers going by. Room was tight but manageable for two. Would not hesitate to book this hotel again.
