We tell our guests that they'll save about an hour's travel time when they choose to stay with us. An hour to do whatever they please - time for some exercise, a beer with a friend, a stroll around the city or a bite to eat! The choice is yours.
The hotel can be accessed via the main station entrance or the Sjøsiden entrance. Arriving from the airport with the Flytoget train shuttle? Then head straight into the hotel from the train station!

If you feel like a change of scene and want to fit in a workout, then our 24-hour gym is located one floor up.
New Østbanehallen - Ø
There's been a huge transformation in Østbanehallen. After many months of renovation work the hall reopened again on 5 February 2015 under the name Ø. Comfort Hotel Grand Central now has everything right on its doorstep from hamburgers, sushi, coffee and ice cream to Norwegian, French and Italian delicacies, hand-made confectionery, microbrewed beer and a food market. There are also shops selling all sorts of things including olive oil, flowers and skincare products.

Unique design and history
Did you know that a large part of our hotel is located in an old station building from 1854, and that the very first railway track crossed the building precisely where our modern hotel stands today? We have kept the charm from those early days but added Norway's best designers and interior architects to create our dream hotel.
