Comfort Hotel® Grand Central

If you want to be right in the middle of everything in Oslo, this hotel is the perfect choice! It's within walking distance to the Opera House, and the iconic Karl Johans Gate is right outside the door. Plus, it's conveniently attached to the train station, making travel a breeze. The breakfast was absolutely amazing—so many delicious options that really set us up for the day. The staff were incredibly friendly and helpful, always going above and beyond to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very comfortable and featured a cool, funky mural on the wall, giving it a unique and modern feel. It was a great spot to relax after a day of exploring the city. Highly recommend staying here for its location, great service, and wonderful amenities. I would definitely return!

I don't have any negative to say. good hotel and quiet. Close to everything, and good transport connections

We stayed here for a few nights while visiting Oslo. The hotel has a super-convenient location: it's attached to the train terminal. So if you're arriving via train, just stay inside the terminal area and make your way toward Railway Square (Jernbanetorget). You'll actually need to walk through the seating area of the last restaurant on the left to reach the front desk but it's much easier than going outside and walking in the front door, especially if you have luggage. The hotel is kind of funky with an industrial design. There's lots of exposed beams and ventilation shafts but it works. The hallways on the guest floors will remind you that the hotel is not brand new; turn a random corner and you may find half the hallway is a ramp to another wing while the other half is steps. Some rooms even have a couple of steps directly to their front doors. But there are accessible rooms if you need one. Though we had no need for it, we were assigned an accessible room that actually had two bathrooms: one with a sink and toilet and the other with a sink and shower. Both had ample room for a wheelchair to move about it. It was actually handy for the two of us as it meant we each had access to a sink whenever needed and someone showering didn't preclude the other from using the toilet if needed. The hotel provides a very nice buffet breakfast each morning. It can get a bit congested in the serving area but with patience everyone can get enough food. There's seating in the immediate area and if it gets too crowded, just step through the door into the train terminal area where there is plenty more seating. There's a well-equipped, though small, gym on the level just above the front desk. It's open 24/7. The hotel has a great location for sightseeing. It's right across the plaza from the Opera House and the Munch Museum. While the hop-on/hop-off bus does have a stop near the hotel, it's one of the later stops so you're better off walking down King Johan's Gate to the far end where the tours start. One word of warning to those with early flights who'll need to leave before the trains start to run in the mornings and plan to take the bus. The train station actually closes up at night so you're not able to cut through it to the bus terminal but will need to walk around the outside. (And the bus terminal closes as well, so you'll need to go outside to the bus's gate!) We really enjoyed our time in Oslo and the Comfort Hotel Grand Central provided a perfect base for us.

We spent 2 nights at this hotel and enjoyed our stay. Breakfast was included and was amazing. The room was comfortable and it even had a gym we could use. The location was ideal close to main train station and central to cafes restaurants and shops.

Stayed 1 night with my wife and 9 year old boy I had booked the suite and got the "King's Room" The room was huge. But as it was very big it was very strange as the furniture did not "fill up the room" and so there was a lot of empty space. The bath tub was facing the main street window and void of curtains. So technically if you were bathing, someone outside might be able to see you if you stood up. The decor was eclectic but my boy really liked it. And there was no coffee/tea in the room. If you wanted that you needed to go to the reception. Location of the hotel is amazing, just right next to the train station. You can get there within 10 mins of walking. If asked whether i would stay here again i might but possibly not the suite.
