Clarion Collection® Hotel Skagen Brygge

Lovely hotel on the harbour, convenient for everything. Super comfy beds with luxurious pillows and duvets. Most of all, the staff are all so friendly and made our stay really special. Breakfast had everything you could wish for. Highly recommended!

Full disclosure we complained & were given a 10% discount & bottle of wine. For us it’s living in its reputation from its glory days of the past, but they’re well & truly over. There’s no AC, no USB ports, no streaming channels & a very dated & constantly pixelated tv, only news in English, no room phone, no tea/coffee facilities, lightbulb out, room serviced ONLY on request & only one towel & hand towel pp. One Receptionist was unacceptable rude stating our issues were because we’d not paid enough (£1000 for 5 nights!) for “luxuries” such as more storage (what?) than one coat hanger, the safe provided actually working, & a light fixture not burning hot in the headboard. It VERY noisy outside especially if there’s any sunshine & people stay out drinking very late. We had to close windows (no AC) and use a small fan provided. Definitely staying at The Victoria next month!

Reservation process not easy; cheaper on Booking.com even though the operator claims direct booking cheaper. Communication with hotel directly is complicated. Reservation of room with view not respected. Breakfast buffet has many interesting and varied offerings but the room is overcrowded and airless.

I had a superior room with a water front view of the harbour! There is a parkering garage underneath the hotel, and beds and linen are fantastic. They serve the best bread I have ever tasted at breakfast, and they also serve a great buffet from 6-8 pm (included in the booking). I highly recommend this hotel!

The toilet in our room had not been cleaned after the last guest. Bathroom is poorly appointed: no floor towels ( on tile floors), no Kleenex, no soap in the dispenser. The room fridge was not clean inside. The room safe didn’t work. The WiFi is miserably overloaded - most of the time I could not get on, especially at night. The location is quite noisy. Beds are very bare- bones with not one extra pillow, and odd little mattresses that slip off the base of the beds. Sleep was not restful. It felt like a dorm room. They do not clean rooms, change towels, empty trash, etc. during a visit, adding to the dorm vibe. The food was good, but in general, this was an uncomfortable stay.
