Stayed her for another four nights, 2nd visit this year. Great location right by the harbour and less than 5 mins walk from airport bus drop off point. Friendly and helpful staff with great continental style buffet breakfast which includes some hot items as well, eggs, bacon, brilliant scrambled egg, if you want that. "fika" in the afternoon and a buffet style evening meal, with a "Hot" courese option as well. Coffee/tea available 24/7. If we ever go back to Tromso, this will be first choice for a place to stay.

I was a solo traveler and almost every activity meeting points were 2 to 3 minute walk distance from the hotel, also it’s on the harbour with a beautiful view of Tromsø and the main city centre is right there in a few minutes walking distance.

Great central location & rooms with view of the water. Great staff - all were helpful & efficient. The food was ok with the welcome afternoon tea & cake, particularly as many aurora tours started at 6pm, before the start of dinner service. Overall we would definitely recommend it. It is showing a little wear and tear in places, but not to the detriment of the overall feeling of the hotel. One little annoyance was the very limited space for putting away clothes; there was only hangers, a small (high) shelf above the hangers and one small drawer in the desk.

We had a fantastic experience with this hotel in terms of location—it’s perfectly situated, with everything nearby and easily accessible. The bed was very comfortable, with soft bedding, and the room temperature was adjustable, which made it cozy. On the top floor, there’s a sauna, which was a delightful addition to our stay. Both breakfast and dinner were delicious and varied each day, and the staff, especially the receptionists, were warm and accommodating. However, the only downside was the lack of regular room cleaning. We were informed that we could request housekeeping a day in advance if needed, but despite multiple requests, we received different responses each time. Even basic services like trash removal were neglected for days, and we had to ask for a new garbage bag to replace it ourselves. Over our 8-night stay, the room and bathroom became quite dirty due to regular use, and the communication around this issue didn’t help. It would be greatly appreciated if minimal daily cleaning were ensured in the bathroom: wiping down mirrors, cleaning the sink, removing hair from the shower and floor, sweeping or vacuuming in the room, and emptying the trash. This aspect was a significant drawback for us. That is why I gave 4 and not 5 to this hotel. Despite the mentioned problems, I would gladly recommend this hotel, especially if you were only staying for a night or two.

We just spent five nights at this hotel, so a pretty good test. We did get the most expensive room, up on the 6th floor with a water view (see photo). Note that the elevator only goes to the fifth floor, with a flight of stairs to the sixth. The room was big enough, and we enjoyed the view. The shower had plenty of hot water and great water pressure. The location was perfect, right near where tours leave from and also to town. This place also feeds you! A very good breakfast is included. There is also coffee and cake in the afternoon (3 to 5 pm). The real bonus is that dinner is also included, every night from 6 to 8. We ate there 4 of the 5 nights. There are multiple salads, bread, soup and a meat entree. They will make something vegetarian for you if you need that, but my vegeterian wife filled up with the salads, soup and bread most nights. As a result of this, we did not spend much time or money in restaurants. There is a gym that my wife used a few times, and a sauna we did not end up using. However, the gym and sauna area is a good place to grab fresh towels if you need them. This is not a luxury hotel, more like a 3 star hotel in the US. But our stay was excellent, and this hotel helped make our trip to Tromso a great one.
