The rooms are worn and in need of renovation. Nice staff and If it had not been for them this would be a sad stay. The prices does not reflect the standard.

Great location right at the harbour. You can literally get anywhere in Tromso quickly from here. The rooms are very small and slightly cold and breakfast is a little bit random. Eggs were great but there was no toaster. Sauna wasn’t switched on and they don’t clean your room unless you ask.

We chose this hotel as it was very central. It was totally acceptable and its USP is that it includes breakfast, Fika and an evening meal if you wish to eat in. We stayed for dinner on our first night and the food was fine. Breakfast was also good. I would say it’s a solid three stars.

Highly recommend this hotel. Staff were lovely, our room was huge and our meals were delicious, cake is served every afternoon and tea and coffee is available 24/7. The location of this hotel is excellent, just a short walk to town centre and to all the meeting pick up places for excursions. Be aware that they only clean the room on request although this didn't impact our stay in any way.

This hotel was a disappointment. It was rundown and in need of a facelift. The decor was unappealing and uncoordinated. In particular, the springs in my bed were so soft I was unable to sleep on it, given my concerns for my back. So...I put a thin "topper" on the floor and slept there. As my pillow was small and thin, I requested another one. Unfortunately the woman on the front desk did not know where pillows and extra blankets (requested my another guest) were stored, and the housekeeping staff had left. The gym had limited, poor quality equipment. Plus, in order to access it you had to climb up a set of narrow, twisting stairs. The room layout was poor, and I had problems finding the light switch to the bathroom, as it was hidden behind the TV. For a hotel with a great location, this one disappoints. There are many other options...chose one of these.
