Clarion Collection® Hotel Bristol

Weekend trip with a children sports team. Great friendly and helpful staff. The cook held the evening buffet open longer to accomodate our logistics. Thanks for that. Great food and helpful attitude. Good value for money here.

You can forget access to coffee or tea (they will offer you to start drinking from the sink: I wich I was joking!) The hotel is unattended at night, so if you call the attended phone number, they will explain that they are not going to do anything no matter what until the following morning. We started our stay be washing the window in the room (the first and hopefully the last time I do it in any hotel). The rest of the room was reasonably clean, but I guess they do not get paid for windows... The kitchen staff is friendly but food offerings are subpar compared to other properties. The sauna has been removed from the property (or is in some sort of permanent state of flux: directions to the sauna are painted over with grey paint). All amenities you associate with Clarion Collection are either non-existent or reduced to be available in name only. There are stairs between the entrance and the reception and also between the entrance/reception and the elevator, so it you are planning to roll your luggage all the way, you will have to forget about it at this hotel.

The Clarion Collection Hotel Bristol was centrally located in the heart of Arvika, within walking distance of the city's shops and restaurants. The guest room was clean but simply furnished and consisted of an armchair, work table and chair and beds. There was no minibar, kettle or air conditioning in the room. The TV in the room was small and looked like something old-fashioned. There was some noise from the street. The cleanliness seemed to be good. The bathroom had underfloor heating but was simply decorated. A loose soap bottle from the soap dispenser lay on the sink and gave a somewhat bad first impression. There were no free toiletries. The hotel's common area appeared to be somewhat worn and the hotel could with advantage have been renovated. There was free wireless internet throughout the hotel, but we found the speed of the network to be somewhat variable. The hotel had a bar and restaurant. Free supper was served to hotel guests. The meal consisted of a hot dish and a salad buffet. The food appeared to be somewhat boring, but was still experienced as a positive gesture. The hotel's breakfast was served as a buffet with a selection of both hot and cold dishes. However, the selection could have been a bit better and I missed several local and homemade products. The breakfast room appeared small and there were quick queues in the buffet area. The staff seemed uninvolved and I missed more enthusiasm and interest in the guests.

Very Helpfull and flexible nice staff. Nice, quiet and clean hotel in a very central surrounding but not cozy. Parking close by. Good dinner and breakfast included. Arvika as such a very sweet little town with places to visit near by.

We stayed just one night and that was a free loyalty program night so I can not complain on price vs quality🙂 That said this hotel used to be a Comfort hotel, now upgraded to Clarion collection. I have stayed here when it was a Comfort hotel, and can not see anything that is different... Rooms are OK, they still serve an afternoon snack and a free evening buffe, which is nice. The included breakfast is also OK, but the tidyness at breakfast is abcent. The rack to put your used tray is full, used trays on several tables, used plates all over the place. No one takes it away. When cups for coffe runned out they where not replaced with clean ones, the same with glasses for juice. All this makes a messy impression. This is not the standard expected from a Clarion collection hotel, or any estabishment that call themselves hotel...
