The Clarion Collection Hotel Cardinal is centrally located on the pedestrian high street in Växjö. Guests are within walking distance of all the main attractions such as the concert hall, cathedral and theatre. The hotel comprises one main building and two additional buildings. Guests can use the hotel as a convenient base from which to visit Småland's Glasriket and Möbelriket.

History
The Clarion Collection Hotel Cardinal is located in a period building from 1929 that once housed a cinema. The hotel was built by Per Gunnar Sundberg in the early 1980s, and quickly became known in the local area as Växjö's premier hotel. Per Gunnar strongly believed in excellent service, and it wasn't unusual for regular guests to be picked up at the airport in the owner's own Rolls Royce. To this day, quality service remains our priority.
