Looking for a venue for meetings, conference or private party in Gjøvik? Our two hotels in central have venues suitable for everything from seminars to birthdays and weddings. Both hotels are located in the heart of the city by Mjøsa lake.
Quality Hotel™ Strand is right in the centre of the city with Gjøvik Cultural Centre as its closest neighbour. The hotel features a large conference centre with several meeting rooms and conference halls in various sizes and a hemicycle with a stage. In addition to course- conference- and corporate arrangements, the hotel also arranges large and small events such as birthdays and wedding celebrations. The hotel has two restaurants, and on the top floor is the Pi-taket bar, which also serves food during spring, summer and autumn. In summer, this is the perfect place to spend the evenings. Why not have dinner with your travel party and enjoy the view of the city and Mjøsa? If there is time to spare, Gjøvik’s largest spa facility, with sauna, swimming pool, cold bath and health spa is located right here in the hotel.
Do you want a venue in a historical setting? Clarion Collection® Hotel Grand, Gjøvik opened in 1902, and is thus the city’s oldest hotel. The hotel, located right in the heart of the city and close to Gjøvik station, includes dinner for overnight guests. Here is a large hall, used for various events and that can also be divided into three meeting rooms. The hotel can cater for lunch during meetings and conferences if this is required. There is also a restaurant in the hotel complex.
Gjøvik is located by beautiful Mjøsa, Norway’s largest lake. The city is especially famous for Skibladner, the world’s oldest paddle steamer, still in operation during the summer months. Why not take your colleagues or your party on a trip on board if you visit Gjøvik in the summer? From Oslo it takes about two hours by car, bus or train to Gjøvik, and from Oslo airport, Gardermoen it takes about 1.5 hours by express bus to Gjøvik.
