The Clarion Collection Hotel Grand Olav is so close to the Olavshallen concert hall, the many musicians that have stayed here fondly refer to it as 'backstage'. We're right in the cultural heart of the city and a popular choice with local artists.
Our hotel has been part of the history of the area for decades. Originally built in 1989, we've played host to numerous performers over the years. Our guests have included Postgirobygget, Åge Alexandersen and international names like Pavarotti.

All our guests are treated to a complimentary breakfast, afternoon sweets – including fresh fruit and soft pancakes – and a three-course evening meal. You can also use the hotel's free WiFi to stay in touch with the family or keep up with the markets while you’re away. If you want to bring your favourite pet along for the ride, they are more than welcome to stay with us for just 300 NOK per stay.
Once the day's business is finished, don’t miss the chance to experience the buzz of our hotel's surroundings. If you want enjoy some of the local flavours, you'll find everything from burger bars to grills just a few moments' walk from our doors. If you head a little further afield, the charming 18th-century palace Stiftsgården overlooks its lush grounds and is the perfect spot for an impromptu picnic. Our location is great for business meetings, conferences and seminars. Our staff are on hand to ensure your event runs as successfully as possible, and our meeting rooms are fully equipped for talks and presentations.
Our largest room can hold up to 25 people, so it's perfect for high-level meetings, small seminars and specialist lectures. You can book the space for a single day if needed, and we provide fresh fruit and water as standard.
We also have a second room, able to accommodate up to 12 participants. This space is ideal for small groups or teams to share and exchange ideas, and can also be used as a comfortable interview space for potential candidates.
We're happy to arrange refreshments for your event, and all guests receive free breakfast and evening meals as standard. If you have any specific requirements, our staff will work with you to find the best catering solution.
