Hotel Admiral

This hotel is in a great location; a few minutes walk from Nyhavn and Amalienborg Palace but also within walking distance of all the main tourist areas. The hotel is well presented although it is undergoing some renovation work so half of the ground floor is inaccessible. This did not disrupt our stay at all. We arrived around 11am expecting to have to leave our bags and come back later to check in, but surprisingly our room was ready. Staff at reception were friendly. Our twin room (street view) was a reasonable size with additional table, bench and chair. There was a large beam pillar and several beams on the ceiling which were great features and gave the room some character. The rooms have been renovated so décor was modern. There were lots of plug outlets (including USB ports), different light settings and even Bluetooth speakers in the bathroom ceiling which we made use of. Standard amenities included tea/coffee, mini bar, tv, towels, toiletries, safe and extra pillows. Beds had both a mattress and mattress topper and were comfortable. Plenty of storage space for clothes and luggage. We didn't eat at the hotel as we wanted to eat locally, but the restaurant and food seemed lovely. Overall, this is a excellent hotel in a great location and I would recommend.

An unexpected surprise. I had viewed this hotel several times and had read some reviews about some of the rooms not being renovated and so I was hesitant. I decided to upgrade to a superior room. I was not disappointed. There is some renovation working happening in January 2025 and it was only on the ground floor of the building. Being from the US I am not accustomed to the differences in room types in other countries and bed types for that matter. The bed was amazing. I was dubious at first but after the first nights rest, I was sold. My room had speakers in the bathroom that can be connected to via bluetooth. I used this feature not just when i was in the bathroom but also when i was just hanging out in the room as well. The windows in my room were operable and i used them every night to help allow some more air flow into the space to meet my comfort needs. I would gladly stay again at this hotel and recommend that you check it out on your next adventure to Copenhagen.

Lovely hotel in a perfect location with incredible amenities and great bed to relax and enjoy with great food and above and beyond friendly staff. We travelled with our nine year old daughter and the duplex room was perfect for us to have some separation from each other too and each enjoy our own tv as well. Blackout electric blinds on all windows was also a big plus for us:) and of course floor heating in the shower/ bathroom.

Stayed at the Admiral for 2 nights over the New Year 30 Dec 2024 - 1 Jan 2025. Excellent location and despite the fact that the hotel is undergoing extensive long term renovation on the ground floor, this did not impact our enjoyment. Excellent and friendly staff, highly efficient and comfortable and well equipped rooms. Choose a sea-front facing room if you can. Excellent choice of breakfast. We would certainly stay here again and have already booked. And Copenhagen is a beautiful and friendly, and highly efficient place to visit.

This was our third stay at the Admiral Hotel for Christmas. The hotel has a great location on the water and is within a short walk to the iconic Nyhavn. The hotel has a very cozy vibe, and great service. When we arrived at the hotel this year, however, we found out that the hotel is undergoing an extensive renovation. Half of the lobby has been walled off due to the renovation. At such, it was a different experience staying at the Admiral. We still enjoyed it, but it wasn't quite the same due to the ongoing renovation. We also had to ask for room cleaning and additional supplies to our room. The staff were very responsive to our requests. We are looking forward to returning, once the renovation is completed.
