Villa Copenhagen

A great place to stay when exploring Copenhagen! The hotel is (literally) 5-7 minutes walk from the central station and 10 minutes walk from the city centre. The foyer and bar area is very welcoming and a good place to relax. Our room was compact but with ample room and the bed was very comfortable. We had breakfasts in the dining hall which was a superb buffet selection and a hot breakfast option. We didn't have evening meals but the breakfasts were excellent. Informative and engaging staff made our visit very satisfactory. Based on our experience we have no hesitation in recommending. Would definitely stay here again. Tip: Check out the roof top swimming pool and sauna room!

I had a lovely stay here while in Copenhagen! I stayed here for 4 nights via an Amex FHR booking. Received 1 category up room upgrade and a lovely hand lotion “welcome amenity” upon arrival. Location: Great central location right across from Tivoli Gardens and the main train station. Easy to get around the city. Room: I was upgraded as part of my Amex FHR booking but even then my room was small. If traveling as a couple I would opt to book one of the larger rooms as you will be cramped, even by European standards. Aside from that, bed was super comfortable. Food: Breakfast was honestly a weak spot. It was super basic and while I was there there was also a conference happening and for some reason they all piled in to the hotel breakfast area so it was extremely crowded and loud. Nothing stood out here and I ended up skipping breakfast 2 days despite having it included with my stay. I did really enjoy the bar / restaurant in the lobby and ate there twice! Service was great, everyone was very helpful and nice. I didn’t have time to use the pool but it looked very clean and well kept. I would definitely stay here again if I returned to Copenhagen!

The overall experience is fantastic. The restaurant for dinner is recommended. The Rug for coffee and breakfast is recommended as well. I wish we had a place like this in the States. Having a DJ in the lobby creates a great vibe. Andy the Concierge is simply amazing!

I listed 4 stars as a compromise. The restaraunt by itself would get a 2 or 3 star, but the hotel room would get a 5. The hotel room and check in process was very good, the problem came when we stayed at the hotel for dinner. We ordered the burger ($35 USD), the veal ribeye ($60 USD), a gin and tonic and a bloody Mary. The burger was ok, but just ok, and at the higher end for the cost of a burger I would have expected better. The veal ribeye could Not have been veal. The cook (medium rare) was perfect, but the meat was not a good quality, I would be surprised if it was really veal. It was one of the toughest steaks we have eaten in a long time, and the toughest steak Ever ordered at a 5 star hotel. The gin and tonic was ok, but again, just ok. No flare for it being a 5 star hotel, just gin and bottled tonic. The bloody Mary tasted heavy of pickle juice, nothing special, and had one sad stick of celery that was old and crusty at the end facing up. No freshening up the celery, no flare, no love, no nothing. After all that we would have stayed for another drink (but would have switched to a beer and a wine), but we continued to sit waiting for the waitstaff to check on us, but eventually we settled up and left, taking our business elsewhere. In my opinion, I watched all the younger staff playing behind the bar, and not paying attention to customers. And no, they were not busy. Less a third of the tables had people, and most were having light drinks. This was actually one of our stays for our honeymoon. Our honeymoon has been delayed 4 years, since covid, and my wife was looking forward to this stay. We have spent 3 weeks traveling through Europe, so we have a good idea of what other high end restaraunts are doing, what prices are and what the quality of the food is like. We had such high hopes for the Villa Copenhagen, but the food and service let us down.

A great option in central Copenhagen. The included buffet breakfast is excellent. We would fill up every morning before a day sightseeing. The hotel is right next to the Tivoli garden fun park and also right next to central station. Get the Metro from the airport to Kobenhavn H metro stop. The metro is brand new and finished in 2019. The hotel lobby is impressive as are the rooms. Ask for a room looking over the courtyard. Rooms facing the train tracks can be a little noisy at night. The gym is good and the heated pool is really good. The water is probably 80F and I was doing laps in 45F air temperature. The nearby sauna is also good. Overall a great stay and a well located hotel.
