The mystical nature is undoubtedly the main attraction for visitors to the Faroe Islands, and Hotel Føroyar has been constructed to reflect its local surroundings. Hotel Føroyar is located on the largest of the 18 Faroe Islands, just 15 minutes' walk from the central parts of the capital city, Tórshavn, where you'll find a beautiful fishing harbour, as well as plenty of restaurants and attractions. The architecture includes a beautiful mix of traditional wooden houses with turf roofs and modern buildings.

In addition to beautiful hotel rooms, Hotel Føroyar also offers fabulous dining experiences. Spend an evening at Ruts Restaurant and enjoy delicious local and seasonal produce, as well as the very best views of Tórshavn, Nólsoy and the fjord. During the daytime, we recommend our informal bar and café, 1933, where you can sit back and relax after a nice walk with a hot cup of coffee, a light meal or a refreshing drink. You can also treat yourself to Afternoon Tea, which includes small sandwiches, cakes, scones, and of course plenty of tea and coffee!
Wine cellar
Our charming wine cellar is the ideal place to enjoy some delicious food and wine while relishing quality time with friends and colleagues. The cellar holds a wide range of quality wines from all over the world. Go ahead and book the Champagne Tasting or the French Wine Tasting packages, or try our Charcuterie or Appetizer platters with a nice glass of wine.
Spa & gym
Guests staying at Hotel Føroyar are welcome to use the excellent gym facilities at Ress Fitness. You'll find everything you need here for a great workout. When you're done, head out into nature for a nice walk or unwind in the fabulous Ress Spa, where you can try all kinds of relaxing rituals and treatments including facials, deep massages, rasul and infrared sauna sessions. Towards the end of 2024, we will be opening additional spa facilities including indoor and outdoor pools, stone baths, saunas, a rooftop pool, ice baths and an outdoor hot tub.
