Hotel Føroyar

Had a wonderful stay with a view to Nolsoy and Tórshavn. The staff was friendly and offered a very good service.

We stayed here at the latter part of our trip which was perfect. After a week of hiking we were so happy to stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They provided assistance with local sites and restaurants, booking transport and any other inquiries we had. The restaurant Ruts was lovely for dinner, and the daily breakfast had great variety to start our days. The room was clean and the beds comfy. Most importantly they had great water pressure and hot water for showers after a long day. The spa treatment was also a treat- get a massage you won't regret it! We can't wait to be back when the spa fully opens in 2025!

We had included the Faroes in our planned trip to Iceland and the day before we were supposed to leave, we learned that a national strike had impacted petrol stations so we would no longer be able to rent a car. We contacted the hotel to see if ground transport was possible from the airport and they quickly got back to us with arrangements. We had five great nights in the Faroes and while the main restaurants were closed because of limited food availability, the buffet breakfast was open and good, and the cafe served light meals all day as well. The desk staff was wonderful (many thanks to Kallin in particular) in helping us prebook taxis so we could coonect with those tours where they were available, and were very helpful in providing recommendations for Torshavn. The hotel room itself was extremely spacious and provides an incredibly beautiful vista over the town and harbour. We had considered cancelling the Faroes trip when we first hear of the strike -- we are extremely thankful we didn't and would highly recommend the Foroyar as a great place to stay as a base for the Islands.

Me and my wife had the pleasure of staying a 3-day weekend at this fabulous hotel, set on the outskirts of Torshavn, and with a magnificent view of the capital, harbor and sea. Upon arrival we received a very friendly greeting from the reception staff, which immediately made us feel welcome and appreciated. We stayed in an executive suite, which was both spacious and well laid out, with furniture which did not just look good, but was also comfortable. This includes the king size bed with quality mattresses, down duvets and pillows – we slept very well! There was also a minibar/fridge, a dining area, a coffee machine and a small sink. The bathroom also had plenty of room and was well appointed, with both a large bathtub and a separate shower. Everything seemed new and inviting. Breakfast was varied, with both hot and cold dishes, and I rate the scrambled eggs a 5/6 on my scrambled egg scale, which is very high praise coming from me! There were also fresh waffles, Danish pastries, muesli and assorted fruits – something for most tastes, I would think. An important feature of this hotel is that it seems very well run, with employees who take pride in their work. My email to the reception prior to our arrival was promptly answered. The breakfast buffet never ran out of dishes. The coffee machine in our room was new, and it worked. Content sharing from my mobile to the room TV worked without problems! The room was spotlessly clean. There is ample, free parking. In other words, there were no annoyances during our stay, and we were free to enjoy our short vacation! We are very happy with our stay, and have no trouble recommending this hotel!
