Hotel Føroyar

I always love to be back at this beautiful place. It has everything you need and the most beautiful view. The staff are so friendly and service minded. We will back soon again. 🫶

I picked this hotel based on the positive reviews, use by tour groups, and hotel amenities. My husband questioned why we would stay so far away when we had planned to access all of the remote islands via tunnels and roads on our 6-day, self-driving tour. We now both stand firmly behind our choice. This hotel exceeded our expectations with comfort and quality. The room was big and comfortable and pretty much sound proof (except when you are surrounded by a family reunion of unruly children and insensitive adults). The food was amazing with the breakfast buffet being plentiful and diverse. Truly the best buffet of our 3+ week trip. Dinner menu in the bar was limited but yummy. The staff was polite, cheerful and very helpful. Housekeeping is sporadic compared to the US, but all you have to do is ask and they will accommodate any request. One word of caution - moving your luggage to your room can be a long walk with stairs. There is an elevator, but only for luggage while you run the stairs and halls to catch up. Unusual, but it works and again, the staff was very helpful upon our arrival. We navigated our agenda each day with ease. Moving hotels was not necessary. Five Stars Hotel Foroyar!

Had a wonderful stay with a view to Nolsoy and Tórshavn. The staff was friendly and offered a very good service.

We stayed here at the latter part of our trip which was perfect. After a week of hiking we were so happy to stay at this hotel. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful. They provided assistance with local sites and restaurants, booking transport and any other inquiries we had. The restaurant Ruts was lovely for dinner, and the daily breakfast had great variety to start our days. The room was clean and the beds comfy. Most importantly they had great water pressure and hot water for showers after a long day. The spa treatment was also a treat- get a massage you won't regret it! We can't wait to be back when the spa fully opens in 2025!

Incredible views over Torshøvn and the coast, as well as being a great base for exploring the islands.
