Clarion Hotel® Helsinki

The hotel was not bad but after the check out I was charged additional fee although I did not use anything from the minibar or any other amenities. I was trying to reach the hotel for the explanation however I failed in that since they're not answering my emails. Disgraceful, would never stay here again. Also, my room was not cleaned for my entire stay.

We had a wonderful five night stay during February half term. We found the staff to be helpful and friendly and answered any questions we had. We found the option to store our luggage on check in and check out day extremely useful. Loved the breakfast buffet - lots of choice and the food was good quality. The only negative about breakfast was that you had to ask for toast to be made and the bread was never toasted enough. We didn’t hear any noise in our room and the beds were comfy. We also loved the Sky Room - the view of Helsinki is amazing. The reason for four stars rather than five is due to the size of the room. It really could have been slightly bigger and with a window tucked away in the corner, you didn’t really get a view at all. This was a standard room. Overall though, a fantastic stay and would happily return.

Ok hotel, good location, but dated rooms. We especially saw this is the bathroom, where the room could do with updates. Trams top right outside, and great breakfast! Fantastic view from the hotel bar over the sunset, I highly recommend a visit there. They also make drinks that are not on the menu.

The hotel has nice decor, but my stay was neither pleasant nor satisfying. I initially booked a standard room and got an upgrade to a Superior View Double before arrival. According to the description, it should be on the "top floors," but I was given a room on the 7th floor (the hotel has 16 floors). If the middle floors are considered "top," I have nothing more to say. I called the front desk to complain about the floor, and they refunded the upgrade, but my excitement was already gone. I was very disappointed, and the so-called "sea view" wasn’t great either—it faced a port, with nothing interesting to see. The room itself was ordinary, nothing special. It was also quite small, which was disappointing. During check-in, there were three counters, but the line was very long, which tested my patience. The hotel has four elevators, but during breakfast and check-out times, they were extremely crowded. I had to wait a long time and ended up going to the top floor first and staying in the elevator to eventually get down to the ground floor. The line for check-out was even worse, with so many people waiting. The breakfast was average, not tasty, and the dining area was very, very crowded, almost unbearable. I chose this hotel for its unique location, high floors, and good views, but it turned out to be a big disappointment. Overall, I do not recommend this hotel. At this price, you can choose another hotel with more character and avoid wasting your patience and expectations here.

Good, modern and fairly stylish airport hotel. Ideal for layover in Helsinki. Very comfortable beds, tho the basic rooms are very compact. Perfect for a single night layover. Bar and restaurant are fine. Staff were friendly and helpful. Difficult to fault.
