It didn’t go moderately well or even passably. I have never ever had such an uncomfortable pillows. I was alone in a two person room and found zero usable pillows in the room - too hard or too high each one of them. After a couple of agonizing hours I threw away all of them and slept on my arm in a position somewhere between lying on my stomach and my side. The duvet was nothing better - felt like meant to -40 degrees or such. The temperature in the room was 21 so it wasn't comfortable to sleep without either, so in the end I ended up waking every hour alternating it on and off. And the bathroom... what... I have never understood these "special" shower heads and this time the sink tap was also some special one. I don't know if it was because of the high floor number or what but this was the worst shower experience I have ever had. I had it fully open and barely got any water from it no matter what jet setting I had in the shower head. The same was with the sink. Never before I've had my blood pressure gone high when trying to take a shower. Oh, and the rail was loose and kept coming separate from the lower attachment, when trying to get the shower higher. The fit with the holder of the shower head and the rail was VERY tight. For god's sake. Also the cleanliness was not so good (see pic). And representing the cherry on the cake there was some weird floor-level structure right next to the bed and I hit it couple of times with my toes and someone else seemed to have done as well (see pic). It had been a long day and I only went to have a good night's sleep and a nice shower, and neither of those was even passable. Artwork does not compensate for this. Ei mennyt kyllä kohtuudella tai edes välttävästi tällä kerralla. En ole koskaan tavannut noin epämiellyttäviä tyynyjä. Olin yksin kahden hengen huoneessa, ja en löytänyt ainuttakaan käyttökelpoista tyynyä sieltä - kaikki olivat liian kovia tai liian korkeita. Pari tuntia pyörittyäni sängyssä heitin kaikki mäkeen ja nukuin vatsa- ja kylkiasennon välimuodolla pää käsivarren päällä. Peitto ei ollut paljon parempi - oli tarkoitettu ehkä -40 asteen ympäristöön tai jotain. Huonelämpötila oli 21, eli ilman peittoakaan ei mukavasti nukkunut, eli heräilin n. tunnin välein vuoronperää potkimaan peittoa pois päältä ja taas sitten takaisin päälle. Ja kylpyhuone... mitä... En ole koskaan ymmärtänyt noita "erikois"päitä suihkussa, ja tällä kerralla myös pesualtaan hanassa oli joku erikoispää. Liekö suurella kerrosnumerolla ollut myöskin tekemistä asian kanssa, mutta oli kyllä ikävin suihkukokemus ikinä. Hana oli täysin auki, mutta kerta kaikkiaan vettä ei vaan meinannut tulla millään suutinasennolla. Sama asia oli pesualtaan kanssa. Ei ole kyllä koskaan noussut verenpaine noin kovasti yrittäessä käydä suihkussa. Ja niin - suihkutanko irtosi useamman kerran alakiinnityksestään, kun yritin säätää suihkua ylöspäin. Suihkun pidikkeen ja tangon välinen sovitus oli ERITTÄIN tiukka. Siis hyvänen aika nyt oikeasti. Siisteyskään ei ollut mitään erikoista (kuva). Ja kirsikkaa kakun päällä edusti joku ihmeen lattiatason huonekalurakenne sängyn vieressä. Löin pari kertaa varpaat siihen, ja moni muukin näkyi tehneen samoin (kuva). Takana oli pitkä päivä, ja olin täällä vain saadakseni hyvät unet ja hyvän suihkun. Kumpikaan ei onnistunut edes välttävästi. Kuvataide ei perusasioita korjaa.

Very nice hotel, very comfortable room, close to city center, excellent breakfast and excellent service

Ax is a stylish art-themed boutique hotel within easy reach of central Helsinki. The rooms are comfortable and nicely decorated, and it was easy to sleep at night thanks to the silent corridors. Also, the prices are excellent for a Helsinki hotel.

The most wonderful hotel in Helsinki, fancy, moden and very hip. Wonderful stylish rooms, and everything is just perfect. The staff and services is outstanding - the best sleep over in Helsinki ever. This hotel are value for the money, and very close to centrum.... I want to stay on this hotel again.

The hotel is new and everything seems to work, modern, but with modern also “cheap”, meaning no room whatsoever for storing your luggage, no closets, no drawers, just 5 hangers on the wall. There is no fridge, and the A/C, regardless of the temperature setting, stays at a set temperature, often too warm for my taste. Found the bed very soft, and did not appreciate the pillows (there were 4 of them, but all with the same softness). Breakfast was ok, with the exception of 1) only drip coffee is included, and it is weak; 2) breakfast choices are somewhat plain, and they are identical every day.
