Klaus K Hotel

the hotel is very close to the Esplanadi and only a five minute walk away from the market square. The breakfast is excellent and the staff super friendly. All in all the perfect hotel for visiting Helsinki.

Excellent stay in this friendly hotel. Warm welcome, friendly staff and good service. The rooms are comfortable and the breakfast is extensive.

We had a gorgeous stay at Klaus K, the staff went out of their way to help and were friendly, the location is perfect, the rooms were so comfortable, the atmosphere was lovely and it's nice that they seem to stand for something, like ecology and equality.

Had a wonderful experience. The breakfast selection was large and everything we tried was good. Only issue we had was the bed was firmer than we would like.

We stayed for 5 nights in a Superior Double room. We had caught the train from the airport and then grabbed a taxi from outside the central station to the hotel. This was only a 5 min journey but the taxi driver ripped us off - happens in every city unfortunately however it leaves a bad impression generally of any stay. We arrived at the hotel just after 12:30pm but check-in was not until 2:00pm, so they registered us and stored our bags. Hotel is in a good location in Helsinki - very central to everything, about a 10 min walk to the main cathedral/square. Room we were in was very large and clean. We had a fridge as well as safe & tea/coffee making facilities in the room. The shower section in the bathroom was open plan which we find looks great but is not really practical....not matter how careful you are you end up with water all over the floor. A few shelves for storage of clothes & a railing for coats but it could have done with more storage for the size of the room. Breakfast was buffet style and had a large selection with gluten free/other dietary choices. Staff at reception were super helpful on various aspects, we purchased transport tickets from them & they provided advice on how to get to various places we wanted to see. We went to a hockey game one evening & they provided advice on what station to alight. Tram station stops right out front of hotel. A tray of chocolates in lobby a nice touch as well as other "travel essentials" you can use.
