Clarion Hotel® Helsinki Airport

Excellent location, and everything worked perfectly l. Stayed here twice in January due to delayed flight, and all worked well. Breakfast was enjoyable l, rooms new and fresh and you can enter and exit from The terminal without stepping outside to the snow. Most likely, when staying at airport hotel you are tired, hungry and annoyed and this hotel helped to minimise the hassle.

My stay started out perfectly fine - the front desk staff were polite and efficient during my late check-in, the room was clean and comfortable, and the quality of the meal I received the next day was very pleasant, and the staffs at the canteen were very friendly and professional (since I had missed it the night before due to my delayed arrival). Everything was going so well until something happened that turned it into an outright disappointment. Despite the airline’s gesture, the hotel’s treatment of guests was appalling. Due to a late check-in the night before, I missed the included meal and was told I could have it the next day instead. There was nothing to complain about the room, location and the meal itself. What was unacceptable, however, was the disrespectful and hostile behavior of the staff. I was quietly waiting in the 1st-floor (not even the main lobby, which is on the 2nd floor) before my flight. Instead of offering basic hospitality, a long hair male staff member approached us, stating that we "can’t just hang out here" because I was ‘’not a paying customer." and “maybe buy a drink upstairs so you can stay here”. This is not only unprofessional but also absurd—I was a guest, even if my stay was compensation-based. To be forcibly ejected is beyond unreasonable. If this is how the hotel treats guests—especially those placed there by airlines—then they have no business partnering with airlines for disrupted passengers. The lack of basic courtesy and the outright hostility from staff made an already inconvenient travel experience even worse. The sheer arrogance to kick a ‘non paying customer’ out of a public space is next-level petty. Do yourself a favour walk five extra minutes to the Airport Hilton and spare yourself the humiliation At least there, you won’t be treated like a criminal for daring to sit down, and having someone sent to evict you like a stray animal. I felt this needed to be said not just once. 1) Other travelers placed here by airlines deserve to know how they might be treated 2) The Hilton next door would never treat any guest this way, regardless of how their stay was booked 3) Management needs to understand how damaging this kind of policy is to their reputation

Magical atmosphere. Elegant decor. Great breakfast. Room nice and comfortable. Strategic location inside the airport.

This is the best airport hotel in Helsinki airport. It's brand new, great rooms, very comfortable and eventhough it's really next to airport (only 200-300m inside walk to departures terminal) rooms are quiet. So good. Also easy inside connection to airport train. Breakfast was amazing, lot's of options and great quality. We stayed there 2 times, (before and after holiday trip and flights) and this my new must to stay hotel in Helsinki-Vantaa airport (we have tryied other hotels on different holiday trips). Highly rocommended!
