Our hotels in Ålesund

The small coastal city of Ålesund is located in Sunnmøre, with the Norwegian Sea on one side and the majestic mountain landscape of the northwestern coast on the other. Our three hotels in Ålesund are all located by the water.

One of our hotels is located by the Brosundet fishing harbour, while the other two, including our newest one, are just 200 metres away!

Near all the main attractions

The hotels are located within walking distance of the city’s excellent cafés, restaurants, bars and shops. If you fancy a panoramic view of Ålesund and the archipelago, the 418 steps up to mountain Aksla are well worth the effort! You can also drive up to Aksla to enjoy the views from the charming café with outdoor seating.

One of Norway's most beautiful cities

Ålesund is very much characterised by the Art Nouveau architectural style (Jugendstil), since the city was entirely reconstructed in this style following a massive fire in 1904. This in combination with the fabulous location between the sea and the mountains, means it is no surprise that Ålesund has been voted Norway’s most beautiful city – twice. Ålesund has a lot to offer with a great variety of cultural experiences, food, shops and nightlife. In addition, the city is a perfect venue for mountain hiking and skiing in the spectacular Sunnmøre Alps. The beautiful Geiranger fjord is only a few hours away, offering stunning views from the road and the boat deck.
