Quality Hotel™ Ålesund

I have stayed at Quality Hotel Aalesund several times when visiting Aalesund for business. The hotel is centrally and nicely located with walking distance to pretty much all sights as well as to restaurants and bars. With its waterfront location, the view over the fjord and the ocean is unbeatable. The rooms are comfortable and modern, there is a nice gym with panoramic views, and the breakfast offers a wide selection and is served in the pleasant hotel restaurant.

beautiful hotel! upgrade to ocean view for sure! on the side away from where the cruise ship comes at midnight every night! AMAZING breakfast! I wish I could go every day! walking distance to restaurants and shopping and big pool nearby. friendly staff. showers aren't great. like showering in a boat. but really again, the breakfast is amazing! light dinner available, but better to go out to eat. wish they had more dinner and lunch on site.

We stayed at the Quality Hotel Ålesund for 3 nights. Whilst Ålesund is not huge. The Quality Hotel was not in the centre. We stayed in a standard double which was comfortable but basic. The service was generally not great - most staff unfriendly and disinterested.

Stayed here two nights. Did a fjord boat cruise, and hotel was a short walk from the pier. Hotel on the water, so nice views. Breakfast didn't open until 8 am on the weekend, and we had to leave before 8 both mornings, so we didn't get to partake in free breakfast. Otherwise, hotel was great!

3 nights stay at Quality Ålesund Hotel for a family of 4 (2 teens). Excellent location in the city a few minutes walk to all restaurants, port and center. A deck in front of the sea with a breathtaking view in the sunset. A very good bar restaurant (Social). A small and cosy lobby. A very friendly and professional staff. We enjoyed our stay and used this location as a starting point to go to Geirangerfjord, Djupevatnet and the Gamle scenic road, the Atlantic road (Don't go all the way to Chistiansund) and Andalsnes and the troll wall mountain area. The city of Ålesund is small and one can walk the hot spots easily. An excellent excursion was to Giske and Godoy Islands (by car via sub sea tunnels) and the Alnes Fyr. Definitely a perfect place of our vacation.
