Ålesund's rich history preserved
Quality Hotel Waterfront opened its doors in the summer of 2011, and in 2023, it underwent a big renovation providing an additional 53 brand new rooms. The hotel boasts a unique location right by the waterfront in the city centre with four distinct buildings – Pakkhuset, Jugendhuset, Signaturhuset, and the newly opened Aspøyhuset – each with its own charm.
Both Pakkhuset and Jugendhuset are charming, historic structures with a rich story embedded in their walls. The Jugend-style character of these buildings is meticulously preserved, and when combined with the modern Signaturhuset Aspøyhuset, guests can look forward to a unique atmosphere throughout the hotel. The Social Bar & Bistro
Enjoy stunning views of the Aspevågen harbour while you have dinner at The Social Bar & Bistro. The bar adjoins the restaurant, and during the summer months food and beverages can be enjoyed outdoors on the quayside. The view of the Borgundfjorden and Sunnmørsalpenemountains is trurly magnificent, and the boating scene on Aspevågen is lively all the year round.
Summer buffet

Conferences
We have a 1000-sqm conference area, divided into nine meeting rooms of various sizes. All our meeting facilities are equipped with modern audio-visual technology. Our plenary hall, Akvariet, can accommodate up to 280 people with theatre seating and is an excellent choice for banquets, receptions and parties as well as for conferences.
