Quality Hotel™ Waterfront, Ålesund

We came here for a new years eve breakaway and its been the best choice we could have made. The Hotel is close to the centrum, but yet far away enough from the party crowds which are around on this time of the year. The Hotel has underground parking, ok has to be paid extra, but its there. This would be the only thing I would like to have been different solution. The lobby is fantastic as we came as 3 families with adults and multiple kids. The lobby had pool and other games available, some on request others just on the table. The reception is small but very well staffed, the staff has made the stay better, they been helpful, funny, supportive. Beer on draft and other drinks available, while the kids are busy playing, the adults had a seating area close by and could watch, or even join the games. Room charge possible as well as paying direct. We had dinner elsewhere as the Hotels Restaurant was closed, but we been helped with a selection that is open that time of the year, again new years eve. Breakfast was served from 07:00 to 11:00, and was great, the waitress was very nice, even asked if we would help with the baby, she also has one just 10 month old. Selection of food was good, quality as expected. Good coffee and other drinks available. The room was for 4 people with a double bed and 2 bunk beds, which is perfect, space was limited, but as a family we mostly bring to much as well. Bathroom was good and had all we needed. We will return it was simply good and what we needed.

The hotel has "waterfront" in its name. So you expect a room with at least some view. The room had a window facing the corridor, and was therefore covered with frosted foil. That is, rooms without winds. Unclean shower. A lot of fan noise in the room from ventilation. And bad service at the restaurant.

Stayed here a few times over the years. My 'go to' hotell in Ålesund. I've had both family stays, buisness stays and rented conferance rooms. Good quality on the rooms, love that its a different theme based on what part of the building the rooms are in. The conferance rooms are good. Prices are reasonable. Highly recommend!

We stopped by here to wait for the midnight ferry to Bergen. My wife and I got a day room so to relax and catch a nap for boarding. We had a nice partial view of the harbor. The room was comfortable, well appointed, and we would stay here again. Ate dinner in the restaurant downstairs and got some drinks. Staff were very nice and the food was very good.

This is for the breakfast chef Wanpen and Nuanchan for being the best host!!!! We were there for 5 days and these women went out of the way to serve us vegetarian food and Thai tea. Gave us everything without asking. Hats off to such hospitality….. All the best
