Riddergaarden Mountain Lodge

we are family of 3 with 11 years old girl. we booked it mainly because we liked the spa area on the pictures. Unfortunately Spa main area is banned 12 years old after 3 pm. This meant for us we could not use it at all as we were skiing until 3 pm. Still place might be ok for adults traveling without kids

A clean quiet apartment but absolutely no clothes storage whatsoever. No reception area so difficult to speak to anyone re queries. Very close to ski area. We had paid to have breakfast in the Italian restaurant for the week- don’t bother. It is terrible- one thermos of lukewarm weak coffee everyday. Eggs, one ham, one cheese and one or two types of rolls. A few pieces of chopped up apple and sometimes orange slices/ watermelon slices. That is the extent of breakfast.

Our family of four stayed in a very comfortable and well equipped studio apartment with a lovely view. The location couldn’t be better: right next to the ski school and lifts, with a spacious locker room right where you want it. It is also very close to the supermarket, which has a great selection and makes self catering very easy. The spa and pool area is fantastic and we used it every day - great fun for the kids and very relaxing for the parents. The only downsides (but you get used to it) are: 1. You have to use the reception at the Raddison Blu. Riddergaarden has no reception. 2. There is nowhere to unpack, so you live out of suitcases all week. Beitostolen is heaven for beginners with plenty of non-crowded slopes to gain confidence on. The ski instructors were marvellous. Norway is expensive, but this felt like a premium experience and worth the price tag. And the Norwegian people are lovely! We hope to be back.

The softest loveliest hotel bed ever! Fabulous studio apartment with double and bunk bed which are in a separate room for the teenagers! Spa pool amazing Staff wonderful, restaurant great Pizza crisp and lovely

Hotellet ligger fantastisk til ved enden av bakken. Flotte innholdsrike leiligheter. Med Ridderbadet og Spa i hotellet gir det oppholdet en ekstra dimensjon. Hyggelig resturant gjør oppholdet perfekt. Eneste lille minus er at det er svært dempet belysning på badet og glass i ytterdøren gjør at leiligheten ikke blir helt mørk om natten.
