Flygbussen (airport shuttle bus)
If you're headed for central Bergen, the airport shuttle bus is the easiest and cheapest way to get there. Not to mention the most environmentally friendly option. Tickets cost NOK 100 for a single, or NOK 170 for a return purchased on the shuttle. Buying your ticket in advance at flybussen.no will save you a little on the price. The bus stop is just a two-minute walk from the hotel, and there's a bus every 15 minutes.
Fløyen and Fløibanen
Don't forget to visit Fløyen, one of the most well-known lookout points in Norway, when you're in Bergen. You can walk up to Fløyen, but riding on the Fløibanen funicular is an experience you won't want to miss. The funicular, in operation since 1918, is open from early morning to late evening.
Ulriken and Ulriksbanen
For the ultimate view of Bergen, we recommend a visit to Mount Ulriken. The walk up the mountain is stunning although if you prefer, the Ulriksbanan cable car is also available. You'll find the Bergen's highest restaurant at the summit.
VilVite
The VilVite Science Centre has a wide range of activities and exhibitions for visitors of all ages. The Centre is a scientific experience and learning centre for technology,and the natural sciences . Results aren't the main thing here, it's more the exciting way they are reached, through experiments.
Bergen Squash Centre
Bergen Squash Court is at Sandsli, a five minute drive or a ten minute bike ride away. Borrow one of our bicycles from reception (limited number). The Bergen Squash Centre was completely renovated in 2009 and has five squash courts, changing rooms and showers.
Leos Lekeland
Leos Lekeland is located in the Kokstad district, about 5 minutes away by car. Perfect for the kids to burn off some energy.
Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra
The Bergen Philharmonic Orchestra is one of the world's oldest orchestral institutions and performs several major concerts every year.
