Clean, neat, good customer service, fantastic & healthy breakfast. Value for money. Great facility. Good space to work at the lounge during the day. Fantastic employees. Feels like home. Spacious. Amazing hospitality. Feels like I was on a retreat while staying here.

I spent two nights at Quality Hotel Harstad, and was very happy with my stay. A modern and clean hotel room, very quiet and pleasant receptionists. I did, however, miss a mini-fridge. Would have been great to keep a few things from the grocery store there. The hotel is a short walk from the city center, Coop Extra and the airport shuttle bus. Breakfast was standard, neither great nor disappointing. The view from my room was... well, you look directly down at a pretty run-down area. Try to get the ocean view if you can! I’m not sure if the AC worked as it should; the room was very cold, no matter how much I adjusted the temperature. But… as a proper Viking I powered through. Due to Festspillene in Harstad all the hotels seemed fully booked. The price I paid for two nights at Quality was horrendous. And for such a basic hotel, the price bugged me.

This was a week-long stay while working in the near vicinity with colleagues. I'd phoned in advance to enquire about early breakfast, parking and room choice, and found the reception staff to be friendly and welcoming. On arrival, check-in was seamless and I was soon into one of the two high-speed lifts to my room on the 10th floor. The room faced the waterfront, lovely views, and was well appointed in a very Scandinavian style. It was of sufficient size and had adequate storage for the week. I was told on arrival that room-service was on request, to be booked the night before. I'm really happy with this, as I'm not a dirty or messy beast, and it saddens me when bedding, towels and toiletries are replaced on a daily basis, needed or not. What was important though is that the bed was comfortable, and the curtains were excellent at keeping out the midnight sun. This was really important for mid-June. I had no problems sleeping. Breakfast was on from 06:30, but on request as we had to be at our workplace for 07:30, the hotel staff were happy to arrange for us to enjoy breakfast from 06:15. This was much appreciated, and the standard of breakfast was very high indeed. At the end of the day, it was very pleasant to relax with a beer from the bar, located in the open plan reception on the ground floor. I do think a lot of thought has been invested into this space: lots of light; lots of seating with low tables and bench tables; an unobtrusive TV; books; board games. It really is an inviting area to relax in, smart yet casual. Parking is still under development. Parking in front of the hotel on the waterfront is frowned upon, quite understandably. There is limited free parking at the rear, and it seems work is in progress to expand this area. There is some free parking in the streets that lead to the hotel, but from 0800, this changes with payment and time limits. That leaves the local covered park, about a three minute walk. We didn't have dinner in the restaurant as the hotel was quite busy with a business delegation and bus tour parties. There is a good selection of restaurants and bars within a 5-10 minute walk. In sum, a very enjoyable stay in a well located, smart, stylish and friendly hotel. Very much recommended and would love to be able to stay again.

Giod stay in Harstad, did not like the noise from a marine vessel the whole night but that is uncommon most year. The service is very good. Receptonist is was very friendly and service minded. Room quality is simple but gives all you need for a stay. Parking near is limited, you have to find parjing in the near.

We ended up in this hotel because our originally booked hotel had an issue and they sent us to the Quality Hotel Harstad. Due to this problem, we arrived there rather stressed, but the staff were so nice and attentive that we immediately felt better. We had a very early flight in the morning and needed to check-out at 4 AM in the morning. Since we therefore missed breakfast, the staff prepared us little snack-bags with sandwiches, drinks and apples, which was amazing! I wanted to specifically thank Kristijan (I hope I spelled the name right) from the night shift. When we checked out in the morning, I had to circle back to the lobby bathroom, due to severe morning sickness (early pregnancy). When I was then ready to leave, Kristijan had prepared another little care-bag for me, with candy, chocolate, tissues and other goodies. It immediately made me feel so much better and it really, really made my day. I have no idea how he was able to throw this together so quickly, but I remain in awe of this level of customer service!
