Clarion Collection® Hotel Amanda

What a fantastic location and concept for a hotel! The entire theme of the hotel revolves around Norway's version of the Oscars - the Amanda awards. Every hotel room was named after a film that won an Amanda for best picture. Very unique. The lobby has references to the film industry and is interesting to sit in and take it all in. Staff were incredibly helpful - upon checking in, one member of staff went out of his way to describe the best parking garage and which floor to park on to get the best rate and later in the stay, when I went down to inquire about extra toilet paper, the staff member left and went to an accessible closet (they are on each floor and have toilet paper and towels) and brought me three rolls. The room was what you expect when staying in a Nordic hotel - not too big but the bed is comfortable, the television has an assortment of channels and the window almost always has a nice view. It was very quiet - never heard our neighbors nor hallway traffic despite the hotel being busy. The location is perfect - just up the street is a long pedestrian only shopping street with a variety of unique shops and restaurants, plus grocery stores located within walking distance. The bathroom was pretty good, located away from the bed and the shower was nice and powerful. My favorite part of the hotel was the food. Included were traditional Norwegian snacks all day long (free) and then a free dinner which was amazing. It included tons of veggies, different sides and baked chicken. They also have a huge breakfast buffet. You won't go hungry here! Prices were great for all that was included - I've never been anywhere that included an evening meal for free. I loved the layout and rooms named after films, including photos from those films. And staff was great. I'd book here again!

Hotel Amanda has allways been first choice i Haugesund. Good location, nice staff, good breakfast, good evening meal.

Very good location and good breakfast - good service in the reception. As a goldmember I got upgraded room - delux room, very good size, extra chairs and even a fridge. the waterfront, promenade with outside seating for eating and drinking was just outside the hotel

Location is good Breakfast : so so, COLD eggs even if you come when they open, juice that has never been near fruit great pancakes . Even for Norway this place is hellishly expensive- which would be ok if at least there was some consistency in the room quality. Rooms in same catagory can be either a dark dump, or a top floor room with balcony. Ridiculous!

Upgrade for my birthday 🥳 and help to make my day a much better day. Desk did a great job and I look forward to my next visit 🥳 I always have a great time in Haugesund and the hotel make sure that I get a better stay
