Mountain hiking

Norefjell Ski &Spa is surrounded by beautiful nature with trails suitable for both beginner and experienced hikers. There are marked trails in the area, and we also have trail maps at reception. Just decide how far you want to walk, and off you go!

Swim and play

We have our own small lake below the hotel cabin area, which is perfect for swimming, playing or even taking a tour by canoe. You can also play beach volleyball here.

Indoor activities

Inside our lobby there's a 16-metre-high climbing wall, perfect for anyone after a real challenge. Children have their own mini climbing wall, and during the school holidays we turn parts of our conference area into a kids' zone with loads of activities.

Norefjell Golf Course

Norefjell Golf Club is a full service facility which is open to everybody. The course enjoys a beautiful location by Noresund, between the Norefjell mountains and Krøderfjorden lake, and is characterised by an informal atmosphere, fresh mountain air and tranquility. There is an 18-hole wooded golf course here, along with a practice area with driving range, putting green and clubhouse. The course offers a 1-day green fee, ideal for shorter holidays or weekend breaks. If you pay for a full round of 18 holes, you can carry on playing all day long.

Surrounding area

There are many historical and cultural sights a short drive from Norefjell that are well worth a visit. Villa Fridheim from 1892 is one of the country's best-preserved Swiss-style houses. The house looks just like a castle with its 30-metre-high tower, right on the Krøderfjorden Lake. The house was restored in 1980 and today it's an adventure museum.

Krøderbanan

In summer you can take a trip along the Krøderbanan railway in a vintage train complete with steam engine and old teak carriages, which travels the 26-kilometre-long heritage railway between Vikersund and Krøderen. Themed days and other events are arranged throughout the summer season.
