Excellent check in processes available to suit all types of travellers. Alexander recommended a room facing inwards due to one of us being a light sleeper. If you don’t mind mood lighting we found the room on the 4th floor to be excellent and super quiet. Great furnishings, coffee machine and body products available. Breakfast was next level and there was an overwhelming amount of choice - it’s busy so if you like a more leisurely pace select either opening or toward the later time frame to avoid the conference attendees. Gyms, pool and saunas excellent. A nice meal and drinks were had at the down stairs bar followed by a drink at the roof top bar. Excellent location to both the train station and the ferry terminal.

Very centrally located, exactly opposite to Grand Oslo Train station.Just exit the station at Karl Johans gate.Take the sloping road down instead of the few stairs, which are difficult especially if you have huge heavy bags. You can see the hotel from the station exit gate. All sightseeing is at walkable distances except the Vigeland park for which you can take metro exactly outside the hotel.Clean nice hotel with very good breakfast and cozy rooms.

The hotel is gorgeous, great location and the room are very comfortable and large. Slept really well and enjoyed the whole experience - particularly at Christmas time. 2 things that stopped it being 5 star. Firstly we didn’t get breakfast which we had paid for because they don’t start until 7.30am on a weekend and we had to leave for a flight at 7am. Very poor. Secondly the hotel is stunning but there’s far too many QR codes and tech. Not good for older people, people with poor eyesight or people who just want to speak to a person and have the personal touch. Tech should be optional and not compulsory:

This was a lovely hotel and really enjoyed my 2 night stay. The reception team were really friendly and check-in was quick and easy. Due to the limited number of desks, check-in/check-out may take a while if you arrive when its busy. All of the staff spoke fluent English which made things a lot easier during my staff. My room was clean and tidy, however it was a little small. As I was travelling on my own with only hand luggage this was not really a problem, however the room might be too small for two people + large suitcases. The view outside my room was great (I had upgraded to a city view and was on the top floor). I had asked for tea and a kettle to be in my room via the upgrade options on the link they sent ahead of the stay, however this was not in my room when I arrived. I let the reception team know, and this was quickly provided. The breakfast was incredible, and had the widest selection of any breakfast buffet I've ever been to. Check-out was also quick and easy, and I was able to store my luggage until I needed to go to the airport later in the day. The hotel is in a great location. The only issue was I had trouble finding the entrance when I first arrived, so perhaps better signage is needed.

I was disappointed with the hotel, I had expected more from a hotel in this price range. The receptionist could not find our booking due to not knowing how to use the system and wasted 15 minutes of our already limited time during check-in. The room was ridiculously small. The twin bed spanned the entire width of the room so the person sleeping next to the window had to climb over the other person to get in/out of the bed. Is it possible??? You cannot sell this room as a double room at such an outrageous price, it's a small single room at best. The window could not be closed as it was locked in place with a small gap. As it was Saturday, the street noise kept us awake all night, until the trams started operating... There is no space at all in the room to put your clothes, you have to use what minimal floor space there is. The bathroom is equally tiny with water running everywhere after a shower. On a positive note, the breakfast was good but extremely overcrowded, even if we were quite early. No juices, though, as they were all empty and no one was filling the dispensers. Checkout was fast and efficient. We're not coming back.
