Homely & historic

The hotel features wonderful modern interior design with a wonderful sense of history embedded in its walls. The building itself was constructed during the mid-19th century, during Oslo's bohemian era, and originally housed apartments before becoming a hotel in 1916. Since then, several artists and celebrities have stayed here. Room 207 was the favourite room of Cornelis Vreeswijk, where he composed and wrote songs that were released posthumously on an album entitled “Savoy Hotel”. Henning Kvitnes has also written a song, “Savoy Hotel” about a visit to the hotel bar.

Food & drink

The hotel serves breakfast, afternoon fika and dinner every day as part of an overnight stay. For gourmet dining, you can enjoy a meal at Restaurant Eik, which was awarded the prestigious Bib Gourmand by the Michelin Guide. The Savoy Bar serves fabulous drinks and cocktails, and it is a popular hangout for the city’s trendsetters.
