Hotel Christiania Teater

Friendly staff that always tries their best to make your stay as good as possible. The rooms are great, clean and nice decorated. Breakfast has a nice selection of food and drinks. Pancakes, bacon, fresh fruit. Great location close to Flytoget, Karl Johan and city center.

First time in Oslo. Travel company booked this hotel as part of a 2 stop holiday in Norway. This hotel is situated walking distance from the town hall/main harbour and very close to the National Museum with plenty of restaurants nearby. Nice sized rooms. Very clean and quiet. Quite dimly lit in places within the room but this seems like a Scandi thing. We stayed at this hotel twice during our Norway trip. Had issues with the in room safe on both visits in different rooms! First one was “dead” and the receptionist changed the batteries in the safe door. All sorted. 2nd time the safe just bleeped and gave different error codes. Unable to fix it by receptionist as late in evening when we arrived. Only there for a single night so no biggie. Although stayed on the upper floors (6th & 7th) we could still hear “base” beat music coming from somewhere late at night. Perhaps a club nearby? Was otherwise very quiet and comfortable. Bed huge. Bathroom large. Very slow lift up and down (just the one) but never had to wait long.

Very nice rooms. Loved the extensive breakfast! It had everything plus more! The Front desk was a great help for our questions we had about traveling around the city and very helpful when I needed a place for my medicine that needed refrigerated.

Well located hotel in Oslo’s theater district. We used the Oslo pass and it was easy to get to all the tourist sites using that or walking. We were on the 6th floor which was very quiet. Sounds like the lower floors can be noisy based on what I heard from other guests. The breakfast buffet was very good. The staff was very helpful. We are glad we stayed here while in Oslo.

We’d a great experience staying at Christiania Teater Hotel for 3 nights. It is extremely well located with a very comfortable room and with a high level of service provided by its staff. Additionally, its lobby is very unique as it is the entrance of an older theater with a charming bar. Last but not the least, the breakfast was really good based on the variations and quality of the food and beverages.
