Quality Hotel™ Sogndal

It's very nice. Very spacious hotel. The staff are very friendly and the bar is actually quite nice. It's a bit of a corporate place but actually in a fantastic location with very easy parking and really easy to get to the fjord with some fantastic views. We like this place very much

Needed a stopover point between Hjelle and Flam so stayed in Sogndal. Hotel is ok but very odd layout, long corridors and numerous lifts that serve different levels, some will access the car park and others dont, quite confusing and not easy to orientate yourself. Room was spacious but no fridge and no safe and the shower area wasn't sufficiently clean. Also could hear people in neighbouring room when we first entered our room.

I had a great room. It was very large by European standards and very modern. My window had a nice view of the river. A 10 minute walk from the hotel along the river brought me to a small beach and a great view of the town. I had both dinner and breakfast here. Dinner was very good with a large buffet selection. Breakfast was good but it was a little crowded with so many tour groups stopping at the hotel. Would definitely stay here again.

Unfortunately, the quality hotel in Sogndal was a bad experience. Very uninterested receptionists and with an old room. Paying parking with a non functional payment machind. Worst however was the army of children playing troughout the entire hotel, turning it into a massive playground, including the corridors, bar and rooms all around us. If you know as hotel that you have a large event with children, please seperate them from the rest of the guests. They occupied the entire bar and breakfast was simply chaos. We were woken by screaming kids in the corridor and a stampede from all rooms around us. This simply feels as a lack of understanding from the hotel. Went the pergola restaurant for dinner and the burger restaurant for a drink, both were very nice.

This is a nice hotel in Sognal. It is very centrally located right along a nice creek and near everything in town. The layout is a little weird. If you park in the back in the parking garage (which you have to pay for) you have to walk around the parking lot, up a ramp, through the restaurants, and into the lobby. There is a really old wing and a new wing. Our rooms were in the new wing. The larger restaurant only serves tour groups. The smaller restaurant is open to all guests but has a much more limited menu. The rooms were very comfortable and mine had a nice patio door with a view of the creek and mountains.
