It's been a great stay. Clean and comfy room, fantastic breakfast, harbour view, consistent and friendly service. And by Norwegian standards, it's not expensive at all.

Cool, edgy hotel with spacious rooms. The staff is professional, and also kind of cool, but in a really nice way. You can check in on avaiable ipads or in the reception. I had dinner in the restaurant, and I had the best Ceacar salad in years. The waiter was funny, polite and service-minded. Loved the hotel, and will definately chose this one again on my next trip to Stavanger :)

Clarion Hotel Stavanger is a joke!! Absolutely brutal!

This hotel is an absolute joke. Do not walk but run from this place. We booked our room in February for a June stay. Upon arriving overseas from Toronto and after traveling all day, we arrived at the Clarion at 18:00 only to be informed that the Hotel had “over booked and given our room away”. Despite claims that they called my cell multiple times, I received no history of missed calls or voicemail message. They “offered” to put us up for the night at the Clarion Hotel at the airport, from which we had just arrived. Upon refusing that offer, we were told that they had called other hotels and “every room in the city of Stavanger was booked”. Wow! Imagine that! We told the woman at reception to try again and miraculously within 30 minutes they found us another room at the Scandic Hotel, 20 metres down the road!!! These idiots couldn’t manage a one car parade. Please do NOT use this hotel. You will regret it!!!

Nice hotel, comfortable beds, friendly staff, and a really good breakfast buffet. Stayed for 3 nights, short walk into town and good value. The rooms and the place in general is clean and the decor is inviting. The people who work there are obliging and kind. I would stay again if I returned to Stavanger.

We spent a few days here and loved the hotel. The location was central to everything we wanted to see - no car needed except for Pulpit Rock and the tour company picked us up. Rooms were nice, bedding was comfortable and endless hot water. There is no AC, so you may need to request a fan. The breakfast was unlike anything I've ever seen - it was the most amazing breakfast buffet I've ever experienced. The hotel is worth the stay just for the breakfast!!
