The Funktionærmessen Restaurant is one of Longyearbyen's most historic dining establishments, having previously been the place where miners enjoyed their meals with stunning views of the city and the mountain landscape. After a full-scale renovation, the restaurant opened in 2017 in its current guise. Guests can look forward to a fabulous culinary experience characterised by exceptional service, finest produce and amazing views! The à la carte menu features a carefully curated selection of dishes inspired by international cuisine. A great selection of wine and champagne
We have a wine list with over 300 different wines, and the cellar is bursting with excellent vintages, especially from Bordeaux. We have 15,000 bottles and more than 70 varieties of champagne, probably the largest selection in Norway.

Several times a year we host a Winemaker's Dinner at the Funktionærmessen Restaurant, in collaboration with famous and prominent wine houses. Wine vendors present exciting wines, while the kitchen serves delicious dishes that perfectly match the wines.
