Funken Lodge on Svalbard has reopened, with modern comfort in a historic setting. With a fantastic location in the Arctic metropolis of Longyearbyen, 88 rooms and suites, a restaurant and bar we are more than ready to welcome you to your next adventure!
Before heading out on your adventures in Svalbard, why not enjoy a hearty and delicious breakfast? The breakfast buffet has hot dishes, homemade jams and freshly squeezed juices. It is served in Funktionærmessen Restaurant on the 2t floor.

The opening hours for our breakfast may vary during the summer months and on bank holiday weekends. Contact the hotel for our current opening hours.
You are most welcome to park your snowmobile, dog sled, or car at our hotel. There are free parking spaces outside the hotel.
Funken Lodge offers free fitness facilities for all guests, open every day throughout the year. With our wide range of fitness and training equipment, you have no reason not to keep yourself in peak condition. Just grab your training garb and come along to the 1st floor.

After a long day exploring, there's nothing better than warming up in Funken Lodge's lovely sauna! You are welcome to come to the relaxation area every day from 2pm-10pm.
Have you spilled something on the shirt or dress you were going to wear for dinner? Or do you just need to wash some clothes? We offer laundry service to all guests Monday - Friday. It will be laundered and returned the same day! Just remember to deliver the laundry to reception before 9 am, so you get clean and tidy laundry returned the same day at 6 pm.

Laundry bags can be found in the wardrobe in your room.
Guide dogs are naturally welcome at the hotel. Please contact us when booking so we can find a suitable room and make sure your needs are taken care of. It does not cost anything extra!
