Funken Lodge

Fantastic hotel in a truly magical place. Situated on the outskirts of Longyearbyen so unlike hotels more central you get the incredible Arctic views. International staff were magnificent and super friendly, food was wonderful as was the room with it's mountain (sort of) view. Been to dozens of countries but this will stay in my mind forever, truly unique experience especially in winter time. Not all total darkness, the twilights are stunning. Cold outside but super warm inside and bar stays open till 2am. Will return for sure. Miss it already.

Funken Lodge exceeded expectations. Absolutely stunning hotel with incredible staff willing to go out of there way to help and make my stay more enjoyable. Tina was especially amazing, her smile and warmth made my stay even more special. Incredible

Cosy, warm and friendly with good food, very comfy beds and good beer, not forgetting excellent staff.

I don't remember the names of the staff members, I must say, everyone, without exceptions, during the whole length of my stay made sure I was having a great time, I can only remember a couple details of some of the staff, the Argentinian girl, the two girls at the front desk when I checked out on Monday at 12, one of them seemed to be on training but still I got serviced very fast and provided all the information about flights and bus schedule. The girl that was training her was extremely friendly.

Arctic Travel Svalbard for a few days. Great Trip, great hotel. Thx to all staff for help and kindness 😊🤟
