In Borlänge there is a lot to do and discover, all year round. For example, the city has many museums, ancient monuments and historic buildings. Sweden's most famous timber building, Ornnässtugan, is an oasis of 35 buildings and thousands of objects describing Borlänge's historical roots. Borlänge also offers good opportunities for outdoor activities and exercise. Romme Alpin, one of Sweden's largest ski areas, is very popular and attracts many visitors annually. The beautiful Bysjörundan hiking trail and the great Gyllbergen nature reserve can help you relax and recharge your batteries. Many also consider Borlänge to be one of Sweden's strongest rock cities, with deep roots in the industrial and labour environment that characterised the countryside. At the Liljan nightclub and at the Wasabryggeriet you can experience wonderful concerts by both famous and lesser-known artists.
