Check in took some time only one open many waiting Room was good and no outside noice Nice restaurant with a good view over Gothenburg The lobster roll was disappointing the dough was not good to under cooked The main meal was great well cooked and with good sauce, but the fries could have been from MacDonands

Fantastic hotel and view, excellent service and food. Stayed for 2 nights and the bed vas amazing. Breakfast was excellent.

We booked into this hotel for a two night stay as the location seemed perfect. We checked in and dropped our bags to head up to the impressive rooftop bar on the 33rd floor for refreshments. Amazing view, nice cocktails and lovely staff. The following day was another story and it came early. Loud heavy construction equipment and pile driving awoke us at 06:00. When it became light out we also noticed the uncleanliness of our room. Crusted stains on the carpet that was also in need of a good vacuum. This was also evidenced in the hallways. We did inquire at the front desk as to why we were not notified about the construction surrounding the hotel and we received no response except that night construction would be ongoing for a long time. No effort was made to provide an alternative room location and the staff member seemed genuinely disinterested. The gym next door where you have privileges is excellent with a wide range of cardio equipment and weights. Breakfast which you must book a time slot for (we were not aware of this either) is mediocre at best. Hot items weren’t hot including cold soft boiled eggs. There is a great variety here but much room for improvement. Sad to say we have to stay another night here. Book elsewhere is you want an enjoyable experience.

Friendly staff in the reception desk set the tone from the very beginning, making us feel welcome. Very nice room, stunning view (23rd floor) and even more so at the roof top restaurant on 33rd floor! Very nice food and good service at the restaurant. 5 strawberries out of 5!

Fantastic beds and rooms - but they have the most horrible breakfast system; nowhere in the booking of the stay was it mentioned, that breakfast had to be booked in a specific timeslot! All other guests arriving early had booked all the timeslots for breakfast from 8 a.m. to 12. Meaning you'd had to get up early on a sunday to enjoy your prepaid breakfast. I'm never going to Hotel Clarion Drake again! I will specifically discourage others of booking hotel stays with those types of breakfast systems.
