Absolutely stunning. The Ice carvings in all rooms were beautiful unique and will be gone forever once the hotel melts. I was there for 4 days and on alternate nights I slept in a cold room then a chalet whilst I was there . Temperature was as expected for Arctic so appropriate clothing base layers and a nice pair of warm comfy boots is an absolute must have. Plenty of activities nearby. I feel it essential to listen to and follow the information from the staff to get the most out of and enjoy the nights in the cold rooms

The ice hotel is really something special. Made entirely of ice, this amazing hotel is a real work of art and engineering genius. Crafted with incredible care, each room is like a unique work of art. Sleeping in a room that is -5°C cold is an experience you will never forget. Location of the hotel is absolutely stunning, with snow covered mountains all around, clear nights, and lots of chances to do winter sports like skiing. For anyone looking for a unique and memorable experience, it's amazing.

Staying in the Ice Hotel and experiencing the northern lights has been on my bucket list for a long time. My stay at the ice Hotel was exceptional. I highly recommend all the activities I participated in. Especially the sauna. All members of staff were very welcoming, friendly, helpful and a pleasure to interact with. We were lucky and managed to see many aurora and staying in the Ice room was a really cool experience. I can't recommend it enough. The whole stay was exactly what I had wished for.

From the moment we entered the reception, we loved the smiling, solution-oriented staff. We stayed in a warm room, our bed was very comfortable, there was a kettle in the room and it was a great experience to watch the northern lights from our window while sipping our hot coffee.. Breakfast is open buffet and sufficient, you can visit the ice bar and ice rooms for free, which are really worth seeing.. We contributed to recycling by throwing our ice drinking glasses into the Torne River, which was partly frozen 😀 By renting a car, you can reach the hotel from Kiruna airport in 10-15 minutes. If we come again, we will definitely choose the ice hotel, this time we will stay longer, see you again 👍

I started trying to arrange a small birthday party for myself back in June. Impossible to work with staff who is on, off, on vacation and never reachable by phone and often their phone line was not even working. I also never heard back from the CEO of the hotel either. The restaurant staff was very unfriendly when there were 2 VIP Indian guests who do not eat meat the restaurant said it was not preordered. There were only 8 people in this group of a Harvard Professor och Swedish doctors and their wives . I have been a vegetarian myself for 66 years or since brith so I have learned to always mention this in any conversation I have with hotel staff. No, the service at the Ice hotel has not changed at all. Very sad since I was last there 2007. Much better service at Björkliden or the local Airbnb.
