+ Friendly, helpful, warm and welcoming staff. + Great breakfast + Nice spa area, small but sufficient + Chromecast (or similar) in the room (i dont know if all rooms have this, but if was a pleasant surprise in our room) + Nice lounge areas with free coffee/tea, games like shuffleboard, boardgames to loan - A bit loud at the spa during the daytimes due to kids roaming about (we were aware of this beforehand though) - A lot of dust in a few areas - for instance on/in the bedpost and over the bar area (apart from this, very clean and looked after facilities!)

We Just arrived on a sunny Sunday at Noon; and we did know that Check in was from 3pm. Nevertheless, seeing us arriving with lots of luggages, tired, the black-hair Lady at the réception did not propose us an option, to wait t’il 3pm! Neither going to the spa or neither have some food at the Restaurant of the Hotel. We were schoked about the Swedish welcome!!!!! And for sure, we Are Not looking forward to stay those 9 already paid Night from Today, 3 pm!!!!! Hôtel not not Not recommended at all! First impressions, First 3 Minutes : the Most important !

Having previously stayed here in smaller rooms, my whole perception of the entire place changed now when we got a really nice ”junior suite” on the corner of the top floor. It felt spacious, stylish and somewhat high-end, with an ambundance of natural daylight from many large windows. We also got a really nice and generous welcome amenity. That being said, the room wasn’t perfect. Several towels had (other people’s) hair on them, the bathroom wasn’t exactly sparklig clean, and the room had two single beds put together rather than a true king size, but I digress. The Box is a pretty good hotel and I would highly recommend splurging for a larger room, which makes it a really good place to stay in Linköping :)

The front desk was non-existent, there was no desire to help or make our stay pleasant. Every time we tried to get help we were told "I don't know what you want me to do" and they apologized. Hair in the towel. The shower didn't work burned us. Service fee of SEK 80 regardless of what you wanted delivered to the room, the first time ever. The receptionist thought we could book a more expensive hotel if we wanted room service (this is a 4 star hotel). The breakfast plates on the buffet were replaced with smaller plates. No mini bar or fridge, no toiletries. A very suspicious white spot on the bedspread. When we were about to check out, the receptionist refused to ask how our stay was, instead telling us how amazing the breakfast was and asking rhetorical questions about the breakfast and the spa. We were in contact with 4 different receptionists but the same thing applied to all of them, they don't seem to want to work there. The hotel wants you to serve yourself, it’s even written on the walls.

Nice hotel, the fod at the restaurant it is very nice. The Room is nice and clean, the bed and pillow very comfortable. Good selection for breakfast too. Beer at the bar but pricy but in line with the local prices anyway
