From steam kitchen to popular hotel
The Clarion Collection Hotel Temperance has a long and exciting history. The building was constructed in 1902 as a combined steam kitchen, hotel and non-alcoholic restaurant. The steam kitchen concept came from Germany with the intention of providing the poorer population a nourishing and inexpensive diet. At that time, the hotel rooms cost 1.25 SEK per night. We have preserved the charm and added modern luxuries. Warm colours of green and gold create a wonderfully relaxing ambiance.
