Quality Hotel™ Strawberry Arena

I stayed here with friends recently on a recent trip and boy oh boy did this hotel drop the ball, from check-in right through to check-out, this hotel consistently delivered an average to below-average experience, this also is not a reflection for the event I was attending, but the hotel also let that event down to. Check-in was busy, and we were greeted by a very unhappy non-smiling hotel receptionist, my friend who can make anyone smile, even said a funny joke and there was no reaction, they did honour his request for an extra-room key and a room near the elevators as he was recovering from a leg injury. We went to the room and this was okay, a big shower, big bed and space to do work if I needed, unfortunately the room wasn't touched or cleaned for FIVE days, no one knocked on the door, no one cleaned the room and we had a big pile of rubbish and very damp towels by check-out. I did request a room clean from one of the staff and she said we had to request it via reception, even though they were cleaning a room two doors down?! Breakfast was another letdown, I went down to see some member of staff arguing with a guest over breakfast tickets, which I was never asked for, and by 8:30am the place was over-run by kids, no space and people queueing everywhere for tea and coffee, on some food stations, the food had run out! and no one seemed to be replenishing them fast enough, the following day was so bad, guests were eating breakfast in a stairwell near the main restaurant and the event I was attending's reception area! The dance convention I was attending couldn't of been more helpful about the situation, but they shouldn't have be fielding questions about hotel issues. This hotel is obviously used to big crowds and dealing with a large number of guests, so it's hitting it's targets, so they don't have to worry too much about reviews. I'm looking forward to the automated "standard management" scripted reply they do on all the reviews here, I suspect the management are keeping the CEO happy as they seem to making a profit, so we know this is a company that is run by accountants and not by a customer focused leadership.

I stayed in the Quality Friends Hotel, Solna, when I visited Sweden to attend the Pink Concert in July. I have significant food allergies and meal times can be a challenge, in particular breakfast. I want to give Korosh, assisted by Lu, a special mention for their attentiveness in seeking to find solutions and providing advice and alternatives to meet my dietary requirements. Korosh listened attentively to my dietary needs and provided a carefully chosen breakfast plate, which I thoroughly enjoyed. Korosh, and Lu, discussed adaptations to the breakfast bag received by those with early departures and ensured I had it for my Friday departure at 3.45am. Korosh and Lu, made my stay very memorable and I want to acknowledge their excellent customer services. I hope the Quality Friends Hotel recognise and appreciate these two members of the team. Reception and sales can often get the glory but it is important to acknowledge the impact breakfast staff can have on someone's stay when they take the time and interest to cater for dietary requirements. Their contribution made my trip to Sweden very memorable. Pink was not bad either!! Thank you so much Korosh and Lu. Much appreciated Susan

About 25 minutes from Stockholm city. Decent-sized room but hardly any amenities. Why don't these hotels provide kettles??? Even a 3-star hotel in Asia provides kettles with complimentary coffee/tea sachets! Good internet across the hotel. And free. Not sure how secure it is though. Decent breakfast options, with enough for both veggies and non-veggies. Stayed only for one night, so didn't get the opportunity to use the other facilities at the hotel.

Overall it's not the best choice, but it's far from the worst. The rooms are a bit mundane but the beds are comfortable. Unfortunatly it suffers from the classic Swedish hotel plague of having a non-existing air conditioning. This together with warm sheets really takes a hit on the comfort. The rooftop bar was a nice surprise though!

The building design is awesome. But the staff is mean and unfriendly, which ruined the experience. Stayed for 4 days and at some point I noticed I tended to avoid the male mean staff, almost out of fear, which is crazy. Would have rated 1-star, but the beautiful bubbles saved some grace.
