Clarion Hotel® Amaranten

Great location in quiet neighbourhood right next to an underground/train station. We used the self check in service which was convenient. Got to the room and the 3rd bed was not made up. Reported to reception where the girl told me it was my fault for checking in early. The room had been serviced and the other two beds changed/made up so that didn’t make sense and why were we allowed to check in if the room wasn’t ready. Returned to the hotel after being out for the afternoon and the bed still wasn’t made up so had to report it again. A man came within 10 mins and it was done. 10 mins later another man came to make up the bed! Room was clean but the bathroom sink was very cracked and the bathroom floor flooded badly due to the gap between the bottom of shower screen and the bath. My son’s clothes were soaked. Reported the issue to reception who arranged a new room so had to move all our things and try and dry the clothes. New room had a similar issue but we were able to angle the screen this time so it didn’t flood. Communal areas of the hotel I felt weren’t spotless. Breakfast was great, plenty of choice on offer but busy as you would expect. We ate in the hotel restaurant one evening. Only one waitress who was rushed off her feet poor thing so service was slow but the food was good. Had to ask for bread because it didn’t automatically come with the cheese and charcuterie board. Last thing, the sauna was out of action which for us was a disappointment as we’d specifically booked a hotel that had one and there was no prior warning on the website. For us this is a novelty and we wanted to use it during our stay. We would have stayed elsewhere has we known. In general an ok hotel but not 4 star for me

I chose this hotel for the price and also it was walking distance to the train and airport bus stop. It was also right next door to the Radhuset metro. The foyer and reception area had a very modern feeling that I thought I had arrived at the wrong hotel. It felt like a 5 star upmarket hotel, and not one for the relatively reasonable price I'd paid for my four nights stay. The reception and other staff I encountered were very friendly and helpful. They have a restaurant and if the restaurant is closed they also a small selection of bar food available. In the morning, the bar converts to a breakfast room with an amazing smorgasbord. In the vicinity there was also a variety of restaurants, and a popular ice cream shop, Kennys. Just a short walk also to the walking/cycle path alongside the river too.

Good reception at desk, helpful staff, room supplied properly. Well decorated.closed from Old town by walking. Subway station right beside the hotel!

I compared it to the hotel located in T-central Station, but my choose is Correct!! Not only the friendly staff, but also the near store in front of hotel, the sea 5 minutes away, etc. were very perfect.Thanks a lot !!

Pleasant stay with an awesome breakfast, and with soundproofed rooms! It helps to get a great rest at the hotel.
